Player The unfortunately low-ceilinged Shaolin monastery of Victor Wembanyama

Spurs will never be true villains tbh.

Vic (even with all his Frenchness :st-lol: ) will never be mass hated by NBA fans (casual/diehard) because of just how unique and fun to watch he is.

They'll bend the knee to their Alien overlord before rebeling tbh :st-lol:

Disagree tbh. With winning comes hate. And Vic is kinda cocky and already gets hated on for shit he says. The MVP comments recent triggered a lot of butthurt. And I see a lot of "he's just tall" comments from haters online. Give it a couple more years and he'll have plenty of haters

00s Spurs were as boring as it gets, Manu was a flopper, Horry injured Nash and despite all that they were never seen as true villains.

I mean you'll have some diehards and other fanbases hate him if he/SA dominates.

But casuals will love him, media will love him. etc. He's a marketable personality and some of the cockiness won't be so jarring if he actually backs it up.

People loved Jordan. People love Steph. People really only disliked LeBron because of the Decision. As long as Vic doesn't pull a Decision or a Colorado, I think he'll be celebrated more than hated tbh.

Don't forget Bruce being hella dirty. And with all that, people just didn't care about them but never truly hated them :st-lol:

Really good points made about minutes vs games.
I think a minimum threshold of minutes OR games is good, only have to meet one of them.

Wemby is at 1865 minutes this season, and that's only playing 64 official games. I would be okay putting the minutes threshold at 2000. It sounds like a lot but 91 players hit that mark last season.
