Player The unfortunately low-ceilinged Shaolin monastery of Victor Wembanyama

I doubt Wemby would accept sitting for nothing after saying he will try to go hard for the MVP. Not playing tonight pretty much ended his chance.
Wemby cant do anything about FO stpid decision. He aint lebron.

The early turnaround for Denver game played a role in the decision, but they are playing it extremely risky with the 65-game rule endangering not just the MVP but DPOY which would be travesty if he lose it because he got a concussion in the Philly or Blazers game. I think Wemby has veto power, but him going along with it means he's actually hurting.

I don't think he's hurting at all. It just standard rest after a back-to-back and given there are three games in four nights. Always figured he'd make use of the "missed-game" allowance to rest up when needed. Doesn't affect his MVP push, too, given that he pretty much made a strong case for that with the back-to-back 40-point outing. He's eyeing the Denver games as statements, for sure. Why not come in fully rested for those?

Tomorrow its Intresting to see if wemby can hold on to that 1 spot in nba.com kia mvp ladder.
