Player The Uncertainty Realm of the Improved Jumpshot of Jeremy Sochan

I’m still of the opinion that Sochan wasn’t injured when he was with Poland this summer, I think he got cut and they used the injury as an excuse. Then somehow he got another injury to his hand during training camp.

I would think 4 years at around $18m each is fair for his skillsset. Maybe $20m a year but certainly no more than $24m a year, that's pushing it
This guy won't even come close to MLE next offseason.

Are you being serious, Splits? That's crazy throwing away that amount of money and a roster spot. No thanks. Give that money to me and I'll find you 10 Sochans for that price.

Sochan's value tbh now is at the "addition by subtraction" stage.

Just off loading him for SRP in 2040s is a win tbh

Unfortunately, we don't have 10 roster spots

brah. he just needs a bit more time to develop. not everyone can be Wemby year 1. He's got the tools, just needs the space to utilize them. it is way to early to give up on this kid, and I mean kid. He's 22, he can be something special if we just give him what he needs
How do you give him talent?

I wanted to commend your trolling skills by comparing them to an NBA skill Sochan is good at, but since he does not have NBA-level skills and I wouldn’t want to undersell You, I’ll say your trolling is as good as Wemby’s blocking ability. Good man.

I'd like to enjoy the amazing ascent of the Spurs...but I'm consumed thinking about a player that barely plays in crunch time! Bring back Pop and DeRozan so it makes sense again. We didn't know how good we had it!!!

Spurs already gave up on Sochan. They only throw him out there to let him try to increase his value, if that is even possible at this point. The having a serviceable 3 point shot experiment failed, and running any plays for him at the elbow or posting up is just downgrading our offense. We have too many better choices on offense. He could have tried to gain minutes being able to lockdown smaller players, but he is failing at that as well.

Any fans still thinking his game is still salvageable within the makeup of our current roster is beyond retarded.

He's

He's just trolling

the problem is that for some reason, you guys think that mitch giving up on him, says anything about his talent or improvement.. mitch chose the current core and there is no room for sochan, that's all there is to it, when teams are 10+deep, this is going to happen no reason to take this as proof of anything.

Sochan, even in his vastly reduced role has still played over 300 minutes this season. That is plenty of time to show improvement (if any) or at least show elite effort. He has done neither. I understand not playing night to night and having somewhat reliable minutes can hurt his competency and rhythm on offense, but effort should always show up from him and if it doesn't then it is time to move on entirely.

I'm guessing he is in his feelings about being on the outside looking in on the rotation after being absolutely gifted unearned minutes his previous 3 years and not being offered an extension he liked. Sochan is exhibit A of the rule to always beware of guys who put up stats on losing teams.

Lowkey I wonder if he pissed off Mitch or something. I know he sucks and playing him guarantees a losing stretch during the game. But Mitch doesn't even seem interested in giving him garbage time minutes either.

Sochan is still on the bench supporting the team too and not taking a "leave of absence" so it seems he still good with the players.

Anyway, the sooner he's gone the better. But I really wonder how the disconnect happened.

There wasn’t really any garbage time tho. Maybe 1 or 2 minutes. Theres no point putting him out there for that.

And with how poorly the team is shooting 3’s, and 4 of the 10 man rotation being non shooters, he shouldn’t be in the game during meaningful minutes.

But yea, his time here is limited.

I've heard some rumors that he was late for some practices/team events or something of that nature. Perhaps Mitch doesn't view Sochan as taking his job very seriously and he's sending the message that it won't fly.

Yabusele and Sochan might be be an interesting and worthwhile swap? Both could use a fresh start and Sochan is an expiring. Yabu's passing, rebounding and small ball center possibilities might fit. Certainly seems like an upgrade over Sochan.
hope it materializes good Sir, agree

Ever since he started dating The THOT, it's been downhill.
