Clan saying Sochan is mistreated by coaching staff and not giving him consistent mins for him to get into a rhythm


- The real truth is that you can't play 4 on 5 on offence in 2025.
- Maybe you can get away with 4 on 5 on offence in 2005. E.g. Ben Wallace. But that non-existent player on offence must be an ELITE defensive player or shot blocker or rebounder (which Big Ben dominated in all 3 areas)
- Sochan is not ELITE is any of the defensive aspects (still do stupid fouls on 3 point shooter) nor shot blocker nor rebounder.
- Offensively, he can't shoot and can only contribute by fighting for Off Reb and clogging the paint. He might only be playable Offensively if there is a generational offensive player like "Luka" who can keep throwing lobs to him. But Sochan is not even considered a "High Flyer" and there is doubt on him catching lobs tbh. I guess he will probably mishandle the ball or get his shot blocked more than he can convert the lobs tbh.

He needs to go. tbh

Clan is the prototypical Sochan stan, who can just never admit defeat. Ty Jager is another. Sochan was a "deal breaker" in any Lauri talks for Clan, which obvious has aged quite poorly as a take.

I did quite find interesting earlier this year when Don Harris put an end to any speculation that the Spurs had Sochan off-limits in Fox talks and any subsequent dealings since. I think Mitch is not a fan of Jeremy (nor should he be) and the Spurs are ready to move on... they just can't find anyone else interested.

What gets me is his rookie year he was putting together strings of 20pt games n even a couple 30s...he was making it look easy to point he was messing up tank n they shut him down with "injury"...like he didn't need any more prep he was ready

Yeah... that's just it... there is no team in the league looking for a defensive wing who can't play offense. The only way to be there is to be an elite defender (like, 1st Team All Defense level good) or maybe an elite rebounder (who knows? It's been awhile since Rodman or Ben Wallace had a role in this league. They might even be outdated at this point).

Everyone always used to talk about how "unique" Jeremy's skillset is... and I'd always point out that unique does not necessarily mean useful.

Its ccrazy to think that Sochan isn't an NBA player. He's just not a rotation player for THIS team given his inability to shoot and teh make up of our team.
