Chet's extension was clear overpay, tbh. He is not a max guy-- too limited offensively-- but the quintessential complementary, high-end role player (they top out as weak 3rd option).

Spurs without Wemby and Fox are still beating the Bucks, imho. Just leaving this here.
One reason for that (see above quote), tbh

J-Dub apparently tweaked his hamstring last night against the Suns. Probably nothing serious but something to monitor.

Would like to think that OKC's not rushing him back to play these last few games if the Spurs weren't only 4 games back for the 1 seed.
Can't believe they made such a dumb move where they could've bought him another couple weeks to fully heal before attacking the final stretch of the season. Now, it doesn't sound like he's going be back immediately after ASB.

They're an elite 3-pt shooting team with a player equal to or better than Wemby tbh. Their depth issues also won't be a problem in a potential matchup since they have multiple players who routinely kill the Spurs. Denver is the same as well, and both are veteran teams.
No player equal to or better than Wemby exists. They’ll fall short on either offense or defense in their impact.

Wemby obviously has all the potential in the world if he stays healthy, but his offensive game is still a work in progress. Jokic, healthy Giannis, and SGA are still better and Ant has his moments as well. I'd put Doncic on there as well but his defensive limitations are becoming pretty glaring tbh.

We are never seeing a healthy giannis again so that ships sailed

Wemby is the only player that warps the floor on both ends.
