If they fall into the play-in they're fucked imo, assuming they have to face the Dubs and Clippers.
Come on man, you're being too negative. I don't disagree with you that falling into the play-in could be very dangerous, but I'd like to think that the Spurs will finish in the top 4.

Next month will be very telling imo, with emphasis on the trade deadline. They've been playing like a middling team the past month-plus. Could be the mid-season doldrums or the team falling back down to Earth. Hopefully they found something after this last win and can carry that momentum forward. They obviously have the talent to finish with a top seed but they also have obvious flaws teams have been taking advantage of.

I was in the same place you're at. I'd been saying we're playing like a bottom 3 (out of the top 10 teams) team, but I don't know, I'm feeling a bit of a shift. I think it's a combination of the mid-season doldrums (like you said) and teams working them out and they're adjusting. The reason I am more optimistic is because of something Steph said after the last game (I think it was Steph that said it - I can't remember where I saw it - not sure if it was a postgame interview, or if I read it). I saw somewhere were Steph said there was a lot of yelling in the locker room at half time of the Rockets game about them having to play more physical/match the physicality, and the fact that they came out and played a very, very tough second half, that gives me a good feel that they're looking to swing/stand and bang and not go down without a fight.

I don't think it really matters. This is more than likely a 1st round exit type team no matter what and it won't just fix itself with more experience and development.

They can out talent their fit issues and win a lot of games as they've proven, but until they trade either Fox or Harper and fill the gaping hole at PF and shooting, they won't be a serious team.

You don’t have to trade one of those two to fill that hole.

Come on boys. Turn-IT-AROUND. You're fighting in every game. Just start hitting those shots and keep playing hard. The rest will take care of itself.

Lakers, Suns, Denver all lost. The Second seed is begging for us to run away with it, and yet we keep on playing with our food.

Pistons are going to hang on to this one. Thank you JB Bickerstaff!

Nuggets down to 4th seed. Spurs need to win tomorrow or they will equal Houston in loss column. Now 2 ahead of Denver who play Knicks on B2B in MSG...Jokic looking a bit rusty and not moving well.

Nuggs got Joker back but their schedule went from Cupcake (4th easiest to date) to beast (most difficult the rest of the way). I don't think DEN is who we'll end up battling for 2nd.

Rockets schedule gets a little easier from here on out (15th hardest), but over the next 14 days it's the second toughest.

Unfortunately, we don't really catch any breaks ourselves... we've had the 2nd hardest schedule to date, the 9th hardest over the next 14 days, and the 9th hardest the rest of the way.
