Like I've been saying, Minnesota will turn it around and start playing better (they were in a slump like the Spurs, but they're still one of the top West teams when healthy), and yeah, Spurs have a real chance this season which is I've wanted the FO to try their best to make some moves that will help sure up some of their weaknesses. Not talking about all-in moves, but something to at least give them a better chance at a deep playoff run.

We need the Elson’s, Bellineli’s and Mills’ of the world

Looking forward to the clipps/nuggs game tonight...clips have been on a tear lately and could do us a solid. hate cheering for anyone with nephew but..

There's a guy on Clippers subreddit posting sketches after every game and it's probably my favorite fan content of the season. :st-lol:

Welp, there goes the 2 seed tbh.
Don't want it to be decided by injuries, tbh. Both Wemby & Jokic were out a month, so it's game on from here. Plus, Denver defense will still be awful without Gordon/Braun for now.

We had the two seed on December29th when he went out. We also had a shit ton of injury games missed by Wemby, Fox, Castle, and Harper during that early part of the season.

Way to show faith in your team.

:st-lol: if the Spurs end up with a top 6 record I'll be celebrating like they won the championship this season tbh. They're far ahead of where any of us thought they'd be.

I'll take any advantage they can get tbh.

Kind of wild that we weren't able to expand our lead for the #2 seed while Jokic was out. Denver went 10-6 without him. The are 15-10 without Aaron Gordon, let's see how that impacts them.

But... we're also 10-4 without Wemby this year... so, seems like it evens out.

Combination of Spurs fooling around and them having an easy schedule. Now they have a pretty rough month & a half (with 1 more game left vs OKC after that). I still like our chances if we stay healthy (Wemby in particular).

Bringing Jokic back now may also increase his odds for future injury. The Nuggets medical staff have not proven to be using much wisdom in the case of Gordon. Not casting a spell, just noting a pattern to watch.

Great point, their schedule is getting tougher while ours is getting slightly easier. Tankathon ranks Denver as the toughest remaining schedule at .561 while ours is at .514 https://www.tankathon.com/remaining_schedule_strength

But I like CraftedNBA's SOS calculation better... they have Denver as the toughest and us at 10th toughest... but Denver's next 14 days in particular are especially tough: https://craftednba.com/strength-of-schedule

Edit: also worth noting, Crafted says Denver has had the easiest schedule to date, we've had the second hardest. We should take some pride in the fact that we're the third best record despite this.

I don't ever want to hear again that Jokic "doesn't care about individual accolades", after he conveniently rushed back with one game to spare before he was going to be ineligible for MVP consideration.

He's not going to play 65 games.

He could play 65, but the odds are pretty low. He’s played 1 game less than Wemby, but Vic gets a game credit for playing the Cup final, so he has two more he can miss than Jokic. I think that puts Jokic somewhere in the vicinity of 3 games left to miss.

I’ll take the 3 seed honestly. It feels like no matter what we are going to get taught a lesson in the playoffs. I just hope it’s a valuable lesson We take into next season and come back as true contenders.

Denver is on our ass smh. Not sure we'll hold onto the 3 seed much longer tbh
They are looking great. I think most of us agree Spurs are NOT a championship team this season. But we need playoff experience so that’s going to be super important.

No first round eliminations, please

As long as they make the playoffs tbh.
