Actually Spurs have nothing to play for on sunday. That game doesnt really matter. It will show whether the spurs care about their 2nd round match up. Which is weird.. in the past i never seen a team care about their potential 2nd round match up.
If pop is the one coaching he’ll probably wont play wemby and wont care about matchup. As long as the team stays injury free come playoffs.
hahahahaha. Spurs have accomplished nothing as of Monday. Amazing regular season. In 3 days that'll mean absolute dick. What was your highschool GPA? That's what it means.
Vic is 1-5 against Joker, with Joker averaging over 40ppg (40+ in 5 of those 6 games). Joker has dominated Vic, the best defensive player in the league. You don't think Vic realizes that? You think it means nothing to him? Reps don't make you better? Nothing to play for?
Defensive players get better with more reps, the same way batters get better with more pitches against a guy. Let's get the best Defensive player some more reps against the best Offensive player pre-playoffs, please. Then he can rest his bruise for a fucking week.
The more an elite defender sees a guy, the better his ability to handle that guy. You learn his tricks, tendencies, moves, maybe just maybe pick up a weakness or an advantage.
No one has ever been this efficient. Wilt played against guys that wouldn't make the G-league and had 1 season as a star close to what Joker does efficiency wise. One. Joker is so next level, there's not close to a comp. There is absolutely no way to prepare, except by actually playing him.
I really don't understand why you'll are so terrified of injuries. He could get injured any minute he plays, that doesn't mean limit his minutes at all costs. I'll take reps against the best over the small chance of injury for the 25ish minutes he'd play. Mitch seems to agree, Vic came back in tonight. He will get better defending Joker every minute he plays him, every single minute. Every play is an opportunity to learn, for the potential best defensive players ever to find the weakness. Can't get that from the bench.
Put him out there and get him reps against the greatest offensive force since at least Wilt.
Vic won't get better at defending Jokic watching from the bench, but he prolly will get better playing another 20+ min against him.
This is a prime sparring opportunity, you can't replicate what Joker does, there's no way to practice for what he does, you can only get reps against him. Don't miss those reps out out of fear.
