Will the Spurs get HCA in the '25-26 Playoffs?

Here is the scenario where Denver will try to win Sunday:

If Denver loses tonight, and the Lakers win out and Houston wins out... Denver will need to win Sunday to avoid dropping all the way to 5 behind Houston. The Nuggets might be willing to drop a game to duck MIN in Round 1... but I doubt they are willing to give up HCA in Rd 1.
Yep. And that’s still fine for the Spurs because it keeps the Lakers at 3 provided they also beat the tanking Jazz in the finale and the Nuggets would have home court against the Rockets in the 4-5.

With all of that said... it would hilarious for us to punish DEN for the shenanigans by beating them Sunday and pushing them down to 5th

Don't underestimate ownership role in these type of playoffs seeding maneuvers. The decimated Lakers almost guarantee a minimum of 4 home games revenues in the bag for Denver,
Im getting your point but what do you mean 4 home games? Lakers are getting swept in the first round against anyone not named Houston

Denver doing this is still a joke but more forgivable. The defending champs doing this after all the corny and dirty shit they do is shameless tbh.

Yes, to fall behind HOU they'll have to lose both games, but they can fall behind the Lakers by only losing one game (assuming both teams win out).
What would be your choice: 3rd seed (avoid thunder till WCF) vs dangerous and rugged Wolves or R1 BYE vs Hospital Lakers. To me the latter and it's not even close. I'm not tempting fate.

R1 + R2 are guaranteed 4 home playoffs games (would 5 if they only gentleman sweep Lakers 4-1). On the other hand you could easily be out in 6 games vs the Wolves playing only 3 games at home.

They're unlikely to get a matchup against the Lakers. For that to happen, HOU would have to jump all the way up to 3... which I think can only happen if DEN drops to 5.

Denver avoiding #3 means playing HOU in Rd 1

Lu Dort finally waking his ass up. Unfortunately Big Daddy Val is in beast mode. Den up by 5 early in the 3rd.
