I don't understand Nuggets logic otherwise. Like the Thunder are obstacle and will be there anyway, might as well take on the challenge a round earlier while your key players are still fresh and less dinged up.

Not saying I necessarily agree, but the logic in general is likely to avoid the favorite as long as possible in the hopes that the more games they have to play before you face them, the greater chance of them suffering a key injury or more.

Minnesota is getting healthy and should have both McDaniels and Ant back by Round 1.

I know Denver is pretty much locked into the 3rd seed but I’d have preferred the hospital lakers > OKC path than the Wolves > Spurs path to the WCF if I were them tbh.
If Denver likes that path, I think it would be pretty easy for them to giftwrap the #3 seed to the Rockets.

I think they (and us, for that matter) probably don't care and will just worry about themselves and play whomever is in front of them.

Agree that they probably don't care. But there's a pretty significant disparity between the Wolves and the hospital Lakers, whereas we're pretty much locked into playing the Suns tbh.

- even if the rockets win out, they project to only have a 30% chance of securing the 3 seed
- the lakers 3 remaining games are against the warriors, suns, and jazz, which are all winnable, but they are of course reeling without Luka/Reaves
- meanwhile, Denver is going to spank memphis today, but otherwise has remaining games vs OKC and then us

houston loses all tiebreaks, either head to head vs Lakers or Denver, as well as a hypothetical 3-way tie

right now it looks like we will have Nuggets/Wolves on our bracket as opposed to lakers/rockets... which just a week or two ago looked like the exact opposite

Clippers play Blazers on Friday. In all likelihood that game decides who gets the 8th position and will play Suns in first leg of play-in. Winner of that game would face us.

Hope the suns lose regardless but I’d prefer Portland to the Clippers

Prime or Prime +

Let me guess. Prime + $$$ with an entirely different password then established with Prime.

Silver setting up fining the Spurs for player participation policy when they sit Wemby and Fox on Sunday. Anti Spurs agenda remains undefeated
I guess wemby will rest on friday vs the mavs then play against the Nuggets on sunday for the season finale.

The Spurs are so much better than the December version that beat the Thunder 3 in a row tbh. Sure, OKC is probably better too and healthier.

But man...just let us get to the WCF and have a crack at em. Prayingdog.jpg.

Lakers last 3 games are against Suns, Warriors, Jazz. Suns and Warriors are locked into their positions so they’ll likely rest guys, and the Jazz are tanking. Lakers could easily win out.

Then the Spurs could beat the Nuggets in the finale and move the Lakers to 3rd.

But that then means it’s likely a Minny matchup in the second round, which is probably preferable to Denver.

I mean even if the Spurs rest guys on Sunday, they still have a shot of beating Denver if even 2 of the big 4 suit up tbh.
