Is there a (semi) realistic scenario the Spurs end up with the #1 seed? Will the Thunder loose two games? I think the best chance is the three game road trip when the Thunder have to play the Lakers, Clippers and Nuggets in a span of four days.

But honestly, I don't see the Spurs win out. Clips and Nuggets on the road I see them loosing at least one game.

If OKC lose 1 of 2 in that back to back against the Knicks and Detroit, and obviously we take care of business there is still a shot. Obviously with a tie, we win the 1 seed. It’s still unlikely, but it’s not dead yet. Had Victor played against Denver I think we win that game and are just 1 back. But that wasn’t meant to be.

Conspiracy Bill’s hit rate on body language is usually pretty spotty. It was a great play but lack of reaction is probably mostly relief after f’n up the inbounds. Reactions were fine after Thompson tipped in the game winner the other day.

I do agree though that the overall vibes are shit. Turns out professional athletes don’t respond well when they’re veteran leader calls them retards in group chats like some 15yo high schooler. Or when their head coach is challenging their manhood every other game tbh.

Maybe Sengun isn't well liked by his team? Relief is no excuse, if Fox or Castle had saved a game like that Wemby would be up hugging him immediately and Keldon and crew would have been mobbing him on the bench.

we havent had any player log 30 minutes in a game since March 19. with this also being our last stretch of having 2 days off, everybody should be in pretty good shape to close out the season on a high note. we do have a 3 games in 4 nights @GSW and @LAC b2b, followed by @DEN

Assuming the Spurs stay in the second seed, I hope the Clippers somehow fall to ninth and the Blazers keep winning. Neither PHX nor POR are as dangerous as a team led by a healthy Kawhi in a seven game series.

The 3 game loosing streak that happens here is my fault. Everyone in the game thread and the Nothing Will Be Okay thread can relax... it's just me going to games, not any real indictment of the team

Not only do I think there's a straight-up realistic chance of the Spurs nabbing #1 - I also think it's a bit out there to assume the Thunder won't lose more than 2 games, considering that remaining schedule.

They've looked awfully mortal outside of SGA heroics whenever they've played tougher competition (cough, us), and modern basketball is a game of high variance by nature. It might not even take the Spurs winning every single remaining game to catch up to them, tbh.

Of course, playoffs are a different animal, they're reigning champs etc, but on a night-to-night basis, they're far from unbeatable.
