Actually let Phoenix pass the Rockets. I'm more confident we can beat the Rockets than Phoenix.
An urgent conversation needs to be had about KD-led teams. He is the common denominator in every underperforming team with bad chemistry, lousy culture, and negative locker-room vibes he's joined post-Warriors. Spurs somehow dodged a laser-guided, bunker-busting missile aimed at Victory Capital Performance Center last summer ..

Pretty much sums it up in two posts lol.

I gotta say, at least when James Harden went into drunk mode, it was usually during the playoffs. Durant, damn, he's been doing it all season. It's rough. This season has sucked.

As an organization it feels like we have no hope either because we have a stubborn coach that isn't going to get fired and a lawyer that can't seem to figure out how to properly build a team. The fact that they never even tried to bring in a point guard is even worse.

This season sucks despite having a winning record.

Let’s call a spade a spade. The Rockets role players/bench are just not good enough.

Eason has regressed. Not sure why but he gives very little on offense. Shooting has disappeared and a lot of silly plays like throwing up wild shots at the rim.

Sheppard is a developmental player who makes so many mistakes on both ends each game. His shooting has been overhyped and has been inconsistent most of the year.

DFS well we all know the story here.

Just not good enough. If they spend so much time developing Sheppard and letting Eason and DFS work through their struggles why not give JD, Tate, Holliday more time instead? It’s been a very frustrating year for this team stemming from a stupid trade that wrecked the roster’s chemistry and level of play.

The level of play this year is nowhere near where they were last year. The intensity isn’t there. The edge isn’t there. The aura is missing.

Adams & FVV are not fixing this for the Rockets. I would look to move Sengun while he has some value even if Giannis is unattainable. in a trade. Get another dynamic guard in return and bring an elite Offensive assistant next to Ime since they are stuck with him (6-year extension). Still won't be a tier 1 contender in the West because they lack a superstar in his prime

Ive never seen 2 journeymen get mythical what if impacts than these 2 on Rocket forums

Should trade Sengun for #5 if Kingston Flemings is there, assuming whoever has that pick is willing. Hometown kid too.

Spurs basically have to win out and hope OKC drops 2-3 more games in order to catch them. Will be tough tbh. Really sucks that we dropped that game to Denver 2 weeks ago. And the 1-point loss to Minnesota. And the random 1-point loss against Memphis. And the two against the Warriors early in the season. And the FT fest against the Lakers early in the year. Etc etc. Those should've all been W's, or at least most of them. But I digress.

Im sure okc has their fair share of those

Erase the home losses to Pelicans and Jazz and that shitty Memphis loss. But I guess that's just how things go sometimes.

The Blazers loss was pretty indefensible too imo (even with no Wemby). Also the blown 19-point lead to Minny and the turd quarter against the Cavs G-league roster.

Home court advantage is clinched. 2nd seed is almost clinched.

Time to rename this thread "The race for the 1st seed"

Losing Steven Adams was definitely a blow for the Rockets, since they rely so heavily on winning the possession battle and Adams is probably one of the best offensive rebounders in the league. Not having FVV available also has hurt them because they desperately could need another ballhandler, playmaker and shooter.
That being said, their season is really underwhelming, and I agree that the vibes on KD teams almost always seem to be off somehow. Also, when was the last time Durant truly shined in the playoffs (for more than just some games)? Probably 2021 against the Nets?

OKC losing the first game after Wemby saying we dominated them and he deserves MVP. Is it something? 👀
They couldn't be more scared, tbh, they know those regular season wins they've racked up mean jack shit compared to getting plastered by their top-rival WC team 4 times out of 5.

I feel like SGA is most aware of this, he was saying this stuff months ago - "We have to get better as a group. You don’t lose to a team three times in a row in a short span without them being better than you. We have to get better. Look in the mirror, and that’s everybody from top to bottom, if we want to reach our ultimate goal”.

Who really believes that OKC got better in the last 3 months over how much the Spurs have gotten even better in that same timeframe? Now they've lost to Boston with a healthy J-Dub.... While we beat Boston at their own game, out-shooting them :st-lol:

The momentum is palpable. :st-hungry:

Their whole offense was like that GS year with Larry Smith, another elite offensive rebounder. Throw it up, and let your beast clean up the glass and get putbacks. They’ve never had a great offense, Adam’s just disguised it by cleaning up their messes.

Jokic going for a 20-20-20 game

i know he's not the only person to get this treatment, but these all counting as assists in insane

setting a screen then letting the guard do all the work but getting an assist just because it was a DHO is stupid. its like the recent trend in the NFL on goal line plays where the qb just kinda catches and release the ball instead of handing it off so he gets a passing TD
