My fellow Canadian. 🇨🇦

Hoping he gets back on the court soon. His flexibility in both big and small lineups will be huge for us. He can slide between positions seamlessly, do enough defensively when we go small, or stretch the floor when we go big.

His shooting will help create so much spacing for us. Can’t wait for Kamloops own.

He can help sprain other player's arm in the playoffs. See Kevin Love in 2015 playoffs :ROFLMAO:

With Sochan injured for the season start, he could slot in directly ... but he is not healthy :cautious:

I cannot wait for the first sighting of Kelly "See You On The Ice" Olynyk. He's such a versatile chaos merchant who could actually be a tremendous mentor to Sochan. My guess is, if he stays healthy (and that's a big IF) he will be a vital part of the late-season playoff push.

I find it interesting what Spurs did with their end of roster this summer:

After the Kornet signing, the most logical would have been to sign a 3rd string center like Eubanks or Landale to a vet min contract and go with Wesley, Branham and that center as 12th, 13th and 14th players.

Spurs took instead a significantly more costly path with Olynyk, McLaughlin and Waters.

It raises the question: Why did Spurs spend an extra $7M to go from Wesley/Branham/3rd string C to McLaughlin/Waters/Olynyk at the end of their bench?

Do they view Olynyk as more than a 3rd string player who will only play when there are injuries?
Were Spurs interested in having Olynyk's $13.4M expiring contract for a potential future trade?

I think they just wanted an extra bullet in the potential Giannis trade.

If that trade never happens, then keep a quality 3rd big who will be very helpful in the playoffs.
