My fellow Canadian. 🇨🇦

Hoping he gets back on the court soon. His flexibility in both big and small lineups will be huge for us. He can slide between positions seamlessly, do enough defensively when we go small, or stretch the floor when we go big.

His shooting will help create so much spacing for us. Can’t wait for Kamloops own.

He can help sprain other player's arm in the playoffs. See Kevin Love in 2015 playoffs :ROFLMAO:

With Sochan injured for the season start, he could slot in directly ... but he is not healthy :cautious:

I cannot wait for the first sighting of Kelly "See You On The Ice" Olynyk. He's such a versatile chaos merchant who could actually be a tremendous mentor to Sochan. My guess is, if he stays healthy (and that's a big IF) he will be a vital part of the late-season playoff push.

I find it interesting what Spurs did with their end of roster this summer:

After the Kornet signing, the most logical would have been to sign a 3rd string center like Eubanks or Landale to a vet min contract and go with Wesley, Branham and that center as 12th, 13th and 14th players.

Spurs took instead a significantly more costly path with Olynyk, McLaughlin and Waters.

It raises the question: Why did Spurs spend an extra $7M to go from Wesley/Branham/3rd string C to McLaughlin/Waters/Olynyk at the end of their bench?

Do they view Olynyk as more than a 3rd string player who will only play when there are injuries?
Were Spurs interested in having Olynyk's $13.4M expiring contract for a potential future trade?

I think they just wanted an extra bullet in the potential Giannis trade.

If that trade never happens, then keep a quality 3rd big who will be very helpful in the playoffs.

Finally puts up some stats. 5/6/8 in 18 minutes
Should've had another bucket too but the refs don't know what a clear as day goaltend is. Nice game from KO, his signing didn't do much for me but if that's the kind of connective glue game he can bring I can see the vision. Had a quick trigger on that 3 he hit as well.

Horrific defensively.. but he’s a talented offensive player.

I said this elsewhere, but Kelly is in his mid-30s and has had a dad bod and the athleticism to match since he's been 21... but he makes up with that with his smarts. If you take his BBIQ and skill and put it into Sochan's body and athleticism, he's a career fringe all-star.

He's going to be the weak link on defense when he's on the floor, but he's such a plus on the offensive end. We got him for free essentially, such a savvy pickup.

Against a bad team he sufficiently did his job backing up Kornet with Wemby out. That allowed Mitch to put a quick hook on Biyombo and nail him to the bench.

If Wemby doesn't go tomorrow let's see if he can replicate it against another team with a bad record early.

Have to admit, I was wrong about this guy. Thought he’d be super washed, but he’s providing quality minutes out there. Not just as a placeholder big, but they’re actually giving him the ball at halfcourt to initiate the offense. He plays like a homeless man’s Sengun.

This guy got hunted on almost every possession. Yeesh.

He's not bad on offense, but on defense, yeah, darn.

He can't defend the pick and roll and a skilled mobile big like Queen is even worse on him

He got owned by Queen, but so did Luke.

Kelly had some important moments on offense for us tonight, and without those moments we probably lose.
