CB looks night and day when compared to the player we saw 2-3 months ago. He's growing, though one game is hardly proof of much. I do believe that a summer playing with our core of Vassell, Castle, Wemby, Harper, etc. will help him develop better chemistry, understanding of schemes and communication on the court. These little victories of a good game here and there are essential for a player to grow and not lose the plot in his first NBA season. Fox set him up so well for that first dunk, that's got to feel good for CB. He's got a long ways to go to slow the game down and settle into his role. The draft will be interesting to watch, too. Maybe he gets some stout competition if we strike gold again and bring in my fave, Caleb Wilson. I wouldn't pout over Dybabntsa or even Boozer, though.

I would love for him him to be great on defense. I'm not expecting any sort of shot creator. And actually I hope he doesn't aspire towards that so he can focus on his strengths.

The most interesting about Bryant is that his profile is a tremendous fit with the rest of the roster. Mitch Johnson is right into investing quite a lot of time and effort to develop him because if it works, it will be huge for Spurs. A player like him could help so much this team.

After the Jazz game he talked about staying patient because his development coach, Rashard Lewis, didn't get regular minutes in his first two seasons.

I really like Rashard, cause I was a fan of those Seattle teams (that's when I liked Ray Allen before he went to Boston), and I will say, Rashard had a weird shooting motion that I didn't love, but they went in for him so that is cool (I wouldn't change it if they're going in). I don't think he's the right guy to teach Carter to shoot (if he is doing it).

Been very pleasant surprised at CB since he came back from the G League.

A few people have said this already but he looks much more under control which allows him to actually have a chance at executing his skills.

Before it looked like he was playing with his heart rate at 3000bpm whether that’s nerves or whatever, or nerves combined with lack of minutes/reps at college/NBA level.

Hopefully he can keep it up and settle in permanently.

So he stays in front sometimes, is athletic sometimes, meets a height requirement for fans and suddenly… he’s an all world defender… smh.

Bryant has the foot speed, length and vertical ability to be an all-defense guy no matter how much you hate on him.

The likes of Thybulle, Bridges, Williams, Bledsoe, Bradley made all-defense teams over the past decade.
The gap between nephew and them is bigger than the gap between them and average defenders.

We'll surely be the best defense in the league if Wemby is reasonably healthy and our role players will often get the benefit of the doubt in that regard.

I think Castle should make All-Defensive 1st team. They said on the broadcast of the Rockets game he has the 4th best DRtg in the NBA among players playing 30 or more minutes.
