Player The Burgeoning 3&D American Sign Language Consulate of Carter Bryant

he's the only guy we have for the durant types.. but i don't think he's there yet, he's too dumb for now (trigger warning). Hopefully he can develop in the next middleton

bryant's growth this season has been quite remarkable. i think he'll have some good and bad moments this post-season but i'm really looking forward to seeing how much he develops between now and next season. he'll also have the added advantage of getting some playoff experience under his belt as well.

Mitch won't do it imo, but if Fox is being a phuck up and it's potentially costing us a series he should go with mass quantities of Harper + Carter Bryant.

I'm going to have tempered expectations in terms of his postseason contributions, but everything at this point is gravy with CB, tbh. I was fully expecting him to be in Austin for at least half of the year, and not really contributing at all in terms of actual minutes with the big league team. The fact that he's already had several solid games playing legitimate minutes is huge.

Spurs clearly hitting on both of what could be their last two lottery picks for quite some time is a major win tbh.

Carter's shown so many great flashes this season. This kid really could develop into a monster. Keep working hard Carter. No limits IMO.

lol, I agree his bball IQ is his weak point rn.

CB is gonna be a stud tbh

CB might be for us what Jaylen Williams turned out to be for OKC, that unexpected other all-star. spurs are situated to have themselves 4 legit stars besides fox-and all of them under the age of 23. the league should be worried.

CB has a much higher ceiling than J Will.

I’m expecting in a year or two, we have a big 4 of Vic, Castle, Dylan and CB and everybody else (sans KJ) is expendable.

i dont think he'll be as good a rebounder, but i think the spurs envision him as their Shawn Marion. ace physical wing defender who can fly around and be an opportunistic scorer

obviously aaron gordon is another contemporary version of this

Hey! Don’t be stealing my stuff! Haha

Well, he's at 7.8 rebounds per 36, just 0.5 behind Keldon who's our best perimeter rebounder.
Per 100 possession that. Per-36 is subject to tempo/pace, etc.

Marion was like a 13-15 RPG SF-C wing Per-100 with 4.5ish stocks.

Carter is around 10.5 RPG playing SF-C as a wing Per-100 with 2.5 stocks.

I think the Aaron Gordon comp is a truer statistical and percentage projection, but Byrant is pretty unique with size and athleticism and attitude so Marion’s 20-10-3+ stocks could be within a higher usage role.

love the Shawn Marion comparison

The 1-5 aspect + raw athleticism reminds me of Marion just entering the league, but I don’t think Carter is that level of quick burst athlete, but can be bigger and stronger in time. Marion was so damn unique though. Not sure we’ll ever see a 6-7/220 pound wing go for 20-11 and 3+ stocks with 100+ 3s in a season while defending 1-5.

But sometimes I see Carter’s chase down blocks, long arms in the lanes, or offensive board attacking and I see flashes.
What the hell! I’ve read this entire thread and pretty sure this is the first Marion comp, specific to the defending 1-5 desire/ability of Carter, his raw athleticism and burst ability, based upon Carter’s recent uptick in shooting, and I’ve always said he’s a plus plus rebounder for his position in time.

Just saying…

That said, I do think Gordon is probably the baseline of actuality. Marion was 19-11 by year 2. But he definitely shares several aspects with Marion that if everything clicks, could see him generate crazy numbers.

Just saying! Haha

really good to have seen these last few monthes that the kid can be a future important player for us. but right now, it's difficult to see him as a major contributor for these PO. really too many mistakes, he doesn't seem ready.

marion was a different level rebounder than keldon, and that was in a different era where everbody was playing 2 bigs at virtually all times, so rebounds were harder to come by
