Player The Burgeoning 3&D American Sign Language Consulate of Carter Bryant

Here's one possible title: The Burgeoning 3&D American Sign Language Consulate of Carter Bryant

Carter's grandparents are deaf and his mom is an ASL interpreter. He grew up using ASL. His grandfather is in the USA Deaf Basketball Hall of Fame.
That’s interesting. I think I remember someone mentioning he knew ASL in one of the summer league games. I didn’t quite catch the reason.

I am personally pleased with him so far. For how raw he is, he looks confident when he shoots and his stroke looks good. His handle is pretty tight for his size. He likes to move the ball in innovative ways. He’s athletic as shit.

His turnovers have been more his eyes getting too wide than him being dumb.

He’s 20+ mins next season and I hope he stays with the club this season.

…also thought it was hilarious when Harper was telling him to stop spazzing out against Toronto. Harper took a fall and you could hear Bryant acting like a hyperactive EMT telling him to stay down and Harper was like, “chill, dude. You are far too much”

…I’m also willing to make anything a Sochan post. Bryant is exactly what people wanted him to be. It’s another bad sign from above for Jeremy. Everyone is simply better than him.

We need to give more playing time to this kid smh

When I think about Sochan being given a starting spot and countless playing time since day1, it really is unfair for CB...

Even with his lack of experience I'm not sure his BBIQ isn't already higher than Sochan's, his shot is already better, his athleticism and explosiveness are better as well...

Please BW find a trade packaging Sochan for a 4 or 5 and start giving CB the experience he needs asap

Sochan always was a much better player than Bryant has been to this point. The team itself is in a much different situation, too, where a wet behind the ears rookie can't just be inserted randomly without serious consequences.

CB needs to be in Austin. The fact Sochan got minutes on talent deprived and tanking rosters doesn't mean we should give CB token minutes on a team with playoff aspirations out of "fairness". What a smooth brain take.

"smooth brain take" ??

You disagree or more probably don't get my point, it fine. Maybe you didn't get that I wasn't asking for a starting sport or 30' playing time but on the principle.

Way to have a respectful exchange, why miss an opportunity to insult I guess smh... :ROFLMAO:

Trust me, we all "get" your point about Sochan, considering you post it non-stop... even in threads about Carter Bryant.

I do think Bryant can get minutes here or there during the season, but it won't be constant and he needs more work in the GL. He's still a guy who didn't get a ton of minutes in college.

The question is if Bryant can be useful to this team backing up Barnes. Or is it better to go with a guy who is far more limited but also moderately more reliable. Reliability probably wins out so you’ll see Sochan and I guess Olynyk but I don’t know what he is.

I agree. Right now I don't think Bryant is close - but by the ASB he might be. I'm definitely not high on Sochan, but we have to be honest he's miles ahead of where CB is right now. I am optimistic about Kelly once he gets rolling and his ability to play backup 4 minutes.

Sochan's usefulness currently is getting a bump because of all the injuries. If we were fully healthy, he'd be the odd man out, IMO... he was downright terrible on offense yesterday but his defense was quite good. Only getting 15 minutes seemed about right.

What your point?

I know this is your whole life and you quickly get emo anytime there's a diff opinion, but what are you trying to achieve exactly?

Yes CB's development is directly liked to Sochan, it's factual.

Yes, my opinion is that we're wasting a lot of time with Sochan and it costs CB's development. Deal with it.

Try breathing exercises boy, if you just don't know how to have a respectful convo

Bryant is more skilled. Better handle. Better vision. Better athleticism. Better shooting. Better verticality. Fairly comparable on D tbh.

…but on any given possession he might chuck the ball into the 13th row off of a missed entry pass because he’s being double teamed or mildly inconvenienced. Sochan wouldn’t do THAT even though he appears to be chronically useless on most parts of the court.
