Player The Burgeoning 3&D American Sign Language Consulate of Carter Bryant

I think him not playing in Austin is related to Sochan not playing at all right now. Mitch has moved on from Sochan and is investing in Carter. It would be weirder if Carter was in Austin and Sochan still wasn't playing. This seems like a necessary compromise.

Unfortunately, Carter Bryant has relatively small hands. Given his size, he struggles to grip and control the ball the way other players of similar build can. This is likely the main reason he lacks a consistent layup package and often loses the ball when attempting one-handed dunks. Only time will tell if this limitation will affect his development moving forward.
WTF you just quoted an asinine post I found on Facebook. That's already been debunked. He does not have small hands. haha

Does he have small hands or something? Feels like he misses every dunk
Combine measured 8'5" hand lenght and 9'5 hand width.

Are his fingers on the short side?

Is there some reason he's not in Austin right now? Obviously management thinks he's a top 10 roster player but I'm not seeing it and it doesn't sound like anyone else is either. He looks like a frightened puppy.
I think it’s just been injury issues, and needing players on the floor.

Well its bad development from whoever is doing this. Some games he dont play,Some days he plays only 6 mins.If hes not
ready he should be in austin rn from what ive seen from him lately.

he still might be fine, but definitely a limited role player for a whiiille.

If you’re drafting a project, you should check in on their SAT score or some measurement of their intelligence. Jeremy and CB aren’t the type of guys you want to have to teach. CB because of what seems to be very clear ADHD that isn’t under total control and Jeremy who seems like…sorry…just kind of stupid in general. Half of project development is their raw talent. But the other half is them doing grown up things like taking the learning process seriously and challenging themselves and recognizing when something isn’t working and constantly recalibrating. You can’t hold their hands through it. They need to have an internal compass.

Austin Spurs were one of the best team in gleague at the start of the season but they are now one of the worst team. They have lost a lot of quality players (mostly point guards and centers) dues to injuries and calls up.

In general, Spurs don't seem to view gleague as a great place to develop players. They should be even more dubious than usual given how bad Austin currently is.

This team flat out can’t draft unless they get a top 4 pick. Not surprising.

Yeah, not like they found and developed an All-Star talent with a #29 pick or something. Or found two excellent role-players with same #29 draft picks.... :st-rolleyes:

Such history-blind takes. We're still reaping the benefits of selling off both of our #29 pick talents for surplus, actually.

Wasn’t that all RC?

Not sure if serious. 3 months in and you’re already doing a 180 on CB because of 6 min game time TV adhd diagnosis?

“He still might be fine” is a 180? If there’s a point here, I’ll reply to it. But I don’t think you read what I wrote.

I didn’t realized you only wrote five words in your previous post and everything else is just just filler. My bad.

Will read your posts accordingly in the future.

Also please don’t do any remote mental diagnostic for me, I don’t need it yet.

Ok. I’ll rephrase.

He still might be fine.

…his D will definitely be fine. I have faith in his shooting but it’s not a sure thing. Everything else about his game is concerning. A super basic 3&D guy ? Sure, seems like a decent bet. Anything beyond that…we have to see.

And ok you got me. This is 20% inconsistent with past takes. But his recent play has made me 20% more concerned so whatever.

Did RC step off the team during the off-season and I didn't hear about it?! I don't think so, but holy shit if he did...

Otherwise, why does it matter? RC was also heavy on the Primo pick tbh :st-lol: so he's not some Nostradamus. I seem to recall some articles round draft time about how the Spurs are very democratic in the "war room", so it's not like RC was single-handedly scouting and picking Dejounte or DWhite anyways.

At the end of the day, it's simply incorrect and stupidly hyperbolic to say that the Spurs cannot draft outside the top 4, when their very own #29 pick is the current leader for the 6MOTY award. I don't think there's an argument there.

I worry that giving Bryant NBA minutes right now is actually hindering his progress versus helping it.

By the eyeball test, he's not really any improvement over Sochan, so given a choice I'd rather have Sochan out there where at least he might accidentally have a decent game or two and make a case for another team to take him on. Send CB to Austin to get his confidence back.

I guess I’m the only CB fan left. The guy is ridiculously athletic. Like top 5% in the league, maybe. If he gets to the point offensively that he can play heavy minutes, the Spurs’ defense will be unmatched.

He's a rookie still learning the speed of the game. There’s nothing I’ve seen from him that suggests he’s unskilled or lacks bbiq. He just needs some time and is, unfortunately for him, on a really good team with really high expectations.
