Player The Burgeoning 3&D American Sign Language Consulate of Carter Bryant

Was funny watching CB sky for that 2 handed offensive rebound over Naji Marshall and seeing Marshall get upset claiming over the back and having words with Carter.

Next move should be improving the scouting department & firing the shooting coach(s). Going to have a bunch of mid to late FRPs in next few years that needs to get converted into cheap, serviceable role players (3&D types, backup bigs)..
Spurs should go crawling on their hands and knees to Chip and beg him to come back imo.

I wish he'd focus on not missing in-game dunks rather than participating in the dunk contest.
Nah I like my Spurs out there. ESPN loves Wemby, Castle and now CB will have a chance to showcase his freakish athleticism. It’s going to add to his confidence, not getting too excited, and that should help him finish better.

the boy is becoming a man ..................

Definitely improving ... despite another botched alley oop dunk

I'm not seeing the game slowing down for him yet, he is still a young guy with a lot of desire that won the genetic lottery. Perfectly fine. But he is very exploitable by foul merchants for now.

So nice to see CB start to put it together in an NBA game. Defensive ceiling is probably ELITE level defender as Reggie Bullock tweeted during the game. His offensive game could be perfect for the Spurs system once his 3pt % stays in the 30s. Cool that both he and Castle had their best games, so far, last night. CB's teammates were obviously pulling for him and happy to see him succeed. My guess would be that he's been showing his potential in practice and it's just a matter of settling down. The duck contest invite probably didn't hurt his confidence at all. Also, loved how he got into it with Marshall and walked away smiling. Very much a Spursian approach.

That goaltend block on Flagg was insane....look forward to CB putting a show in the dunk contest and avenge Castle

I've heard about his wingspan, but how do the rest of his measurements compare to the median PF in the league, tbh?

[Bat-Signal to Stats Fellas]

He's got massive shoulders for sure, but I just see him as more of a SF than a PF on the court. It's true that OG Anunoby is a "PF" nowadays and the league is trending down.... But we really lacked size in the game against the Pels, and I'm a bit tentative to crown him our PF of the future if he can't provide some of the "beef" that Wemby will forever lack due to his alien composition. Looked great out there last night though, for sure.

At the 2025 NBA Draft Combine, Arizona freshman
Carter Bryant measured in with elite physical tools for a wing, standing 6' 6.5" without shoes (approx. 6' 8" in shoes) and weighing 214.8 lbs. He boasted a 6' 11.75" wingspan and an 8' 10" standing reach, along with a 39.5-inch max vertical leap.

some PF comparisons:

At the 2018/2019 NBA Draft Combines, P.J. Washington measured in with a 7' 2.5" wingspan, a 6' 6.5" barefoot height (6' 8" in shoes), and a weight of roughly 223–230 lbs. He also featured a 8' 11" standing reach

At the 2017 NBA Draft Combine, OG Anunoby measured in with elite physical tools for a forward:
6' 6.25" barefoot (approx. 6' 7.75" in shoes), a 7' 2.25" wingspan, and a 232.4 lb frame. His standing reach was 8' 11.5"

I can’t help to see resemblance of CB and a young Terry Cummings with their built and broad shoulders, even the eyes and head. Athleticism I see a Blake Griffin who can jump off the roof. Sometimes him and Wemby going for the block is just insane.

let's not get ahead of ourselves, he had a good first half yesterday and disappeared in the second one. He has good potential but is far far from a finished product.

Yeah, I agree. I was much more optimistic he'd be ready sooner, but after watching him all these months it's clear he's a long term project more than anything. He's very tantalizing in a lot of ways (archetype, frame, freak athleticism, defensive potential) but his shooting and processing are way behind. Worthy gamble, but a gamble nonetheless. Spurs need to go get forward/wing help if they want to contend in the next couple of years.

developing rapidly. He's basically the exact type of 4 that we need. Big, strong athletic, good defender, secondary shotblocker, 3-point shooter. I'm alreay curious what he's gonna look like next season.
With a shaved head if he keeps missing dunks?

I'm still hoping he can be our 3 mostly with the option of stepping up to the 4. I say that in the context of hoping for a large lineup at every position that is also able to guard different positions.

Let's find a 6'10 CB in the 2026 draft

was suppose to be yaxel. But he fell off a cliff
That sucks. His age was already a big knock on him.

The other guy I see is falling in our range is Koa Pete. Wonder what happened there?

A players age can indicate both if they’re just beating up physically and mentally on youngsters, and what kind of development may be left.

The older guys are usually more ready out of the box, AND what you see in their rookie year is close to or actually their ceiling. Podz in GS and Jaquez in Miami are pretty cookie cutter examples of this.
