Despite the jokes, I promise I was not Dejounte (or any other alt)
 
i doubt dejounte was an alt. no obvious motive there. he was an opinionated dude who would post a lot. usually alts are meant to troll either in general or get under particular people's skins. i never felt like dejounte was doing either.
 
Dejounte wa also pretty tech savvy talking about coding and stuff, gotta figure they could track us down if they wanted to. Wonder if some people just said fuck it and bailed on Spurs web forums all around. Mr Body was having a pretty noticeable agitation towards the end there, wonder if Body found us and just decided not to join?
 
SpursTalk dieded again. Looks like those upgrades are going well.
 
It' fascinating to me because Dejounte would ask repeatedly what do we do if the site dies... and we communicated the emergency subreddit multiple times... he just never availed himself of the options. I hope he eventually finds his way here.
 
What if he's already here but posting with another screen name of a player that might get traded? Is someone posting as Devin? Jeremy? Keldone?

I'm convinced he's DC23 or is good buddies with him. No one with a rational mind would go to the lengths of semen shielding he did for a site that is broken and no longer ran by LJ and Kori.
 
Plot twist: Dejounte is the new owner of the old website, Mr. Empty promises. He’s been one of the most critical of the failure to deliver, so, perfect cover.

My guess (99% confident) is the regulars who haven't yet joined are sort of still holding out for a ST resurrection. Even some who joined (but stopped posting when ST came back) may be in that category. I have no doubt we'll see a sudden influx of regulars by the start of the season if SpursTalk doesn't make a move. Honestly, I think it's too little to late, had plenty of time to act before the schism.

There are a few people that said they don't want to move, but Dejounte and mr. Body haven't posted on ST since it went back up again. I guess they gave up and found another place or are simply waiting for the regular season to start.
 
I'm sitting in my amateur psychologist chair, but, it's possible that some of the posters on ST were there for the agitation, discord, self-aggrandizement and chaos. Some of those folks wouldn't want an organized, civil, high-brow affair like we have here. It's the 'that's why you can't have nice things' idea.

I miss him always posting as if he was forum's voice of reason only to get absolutely triggered whenever someone beats him in an argument.
The repeated stfus aimed at anyone who disagrees when he gets trigged will always be hillarious. :st-lol:
 
Since this site totally hides posts and even hides quotes from posters on your ignore list, I say let anyone come over. Just put them on ignore and you will never even know they're here, other than seeing their username in a quote box.

Oh of course. This is not needed for closure, but if presented I could like for (if nothing else entertainment and psychological studies purposes) to know if the profile of Dale (Stale) was ever revealed to be:
a. 12 year old relative(s) of whomever the at the time current owners were, paid by said owners to make up profiles, spam the board thus create "clicks"?
b. Owner(s) themselves trying to up "clicks"?
c. Really was a 70 or so dude from the Phoenix area. Retired disability with time on his hands.

If the above is better left buried, so be it. :D
