Player Stephon Castle is the Alpha of this team

I was saying last year that Castle seemed more aggressive and whatnot.

Now if only he could start hitting some 3s.
This is one of the reasons I loved Steph last year. After the first couple of weeks of the season, he was already close to Victor as my favourite player/s on the team. His aggression, fearless play is what won me over very early. He keeps playing no matter what the score is (I can't even say Victor does that all the time). I just want so bad for him to get that 3 point shot worked out. Not for me, not for the team, but for Steph himself, because of all the hard work he puts in (he really wants it, and wants to be great), he deserves it IMO.

I agree, he reminds me a ton of Mario Elli.

He may not be the most talented player out there but he has that fire, toughness and will that makes him a huge stand out and a game changer

Not sure about that one. I believe Steph has more talent that Mario. Mario was very tough and a solid player, but I don't think that's a good comparison. I think you were trying to say that Steph maybe wasn't the most talented player coming into the draft, but he's worked really hard to keep getting better and better. Kawhi is a better comparison IMO starting a year two, because I think first year Steph was better than first year Kawhi.

As much as I'm rooting for a Steph's leap -- and he is blowing up before our eyes -- this won't be a good look for Fox if Castle usurps him so soon in team hierarchy before even that fat max kicks in.. Needs to level up fast before the whispers get loud.

I've been saying this. Even if his ego can handle it for the sake of winning, his game isn't suited to being a secondary ball handler. He needs to be the offensive engine to thrive.

You're way too hard on Wembanyama.

Love Castle. He gives me Jimmy Butler vibes without the malcontent attitude. He is a dog, gets to the line at will, excellent rebounder, & great defender. It’s only three games, but he has cut down on turnovers and I believe he will solve his three-point shooting.

Jimmy doesn’t have the same ball handling skills, vision and passing, and POA defensive tenacity as Castle. IMO, they are so different.

Kevin O'Connor had a guest on the show a couple of days back who described Castle as a cross between Butler and Jrue Hollday. I think that's a pretty decent comp. if Castle can just develop that three, he'll be lethal.

Some of us have been saying this for a year now.

If Castle is going to want it more and be neck-and-neck or even better big game player than Wemby who is acting more like a big mouth, this team is going to be in trouble.

He is not the most naturally talented guy on this roster: Wemby, Harper, and Fox edge him there to varying degrees, but he is by far the most relentless and tenacious Spur.

I'll excuse Wemby's performance given the death of his grandma, but he's got some catching up to do to match Castle's moxie in big games-- on how to be steady and impactful even on a 5-15 shooting night, for instance
