Evan Sidery reporting the Bulls, Hornets, Knicks, Lakers, and Suns have interest in Sochan
Let's rev up the trade machine

It’s literally our best chance at a lottery pick until Wemby retires.Maybe, but I don't think the 2027 pick is as valuable to the Spurs as it is to other teams.
We have those Kings and Timberwolves swaps. It’s literally our best chance at a lottery pick until Wemby retires.
We also have swaps from Dallas and Boston. All it takes is one Achilles to implode for those to be incredibly valuable alsoWe have those Kings and Timberwolves swaps.
20131 will be a perfect time to give 27 year old Wemby his next co-star, tbh.
Further out is harder to project. I thought that Minny swap would be gold, that they would go the way of those Memphis and Sacto squads that plucked high seeds for a year, then fizzled. Instead, they’ve been to the WCFs two years in a row. Sacto swap might be better, but all of their bloated contracts will be off the books by summer of 2028, giving them 3 seasons to tank and rebuild. They own all of their FRPs during that time.We have those Kings and Timberwolves swaps.

Don’t be surprised if Dallas magically draws another high pick this year, and Boston doesn’t look to be anywhere near as cooked as people thought. They’re dangerous this year.We also have swaps from Dallas and Boston. All it takes is one Achilles to implode for those to be incredibly valuable also
As you say, it's hard to project, but it's the Kings and they're basically guaranteed to be perma-bad.Further out is harder to project. He's really bad defensively. Also offensively all he does is shoot. He's playing on a team that needs defenders, here he'd be on a team that needs shooters.
How's that any different from Klay Thompson at this point. He's really bad defensively. Also offensively all he does is shoot.
I think this year is our best chance. There are to many variables on the pick next yearIt’s literally our best chance at a lottery pick until Wemby retires.
Wouldn't want Klay eitherHow's that any different from Klay Thompson at this point.
Knecht needs a change of scenery. Spurs are a good spot for that.
Don't play with my emotions like thisWhen I'm looking through the player pool of these teams, Sochan for LaRavia wouldn't be a bad deal I guess.
Castle will go for an efficent 8-20 tonight, tbh.Last year before the deadline we got sad Keldon who responded with a 24 point game against MIL and followed it up with a 19 point performance against MIA.
Who will be our Sad Keldon this year?
It literally can't be a downgrade because Sochan isn't in the rotation even when we're missing players.pretty sure whoever we trade sochan for, will be a massive downgrade
I know we are the "do good by him" kings even if it is a scrub-tier player in question, but Sochan is still a former Top 10 pick who is only 22, so they better wring something out of his impending move even in the form of facilitation to a transaction of their own to shore up this year's roster (marginally so, that is)..Wright (and his crew) should be aware the 2022 draft turning into a total wipeout for them is not a good look.
There are even more variables on the future swaps.I think this year is our best chance. There are to many variables on the pick next year
2022 draft cratered as a sacrifice to the lottery gods... said gods responded by giving us Wemby, Castle and Harper. I'm not gonna lose much sleep over 2021 or 2022...I know we are the "do good by him" kings even if it is a scrub-tier player in question, but Sochan is still a former Top 10 pick who is only 22, so they better wring something out of his impending move even in the form of facilitation to a transaction of their own to shore up this year's roster (marginally so, that is)..Wright (and his crew) should be aware the 2022 draft turning into a total wipeout for them is not a good look.
Just from a probability point of view, I'd say next year's ATL pick is a lot more predictable than any of those far out swaps. I think we can comfortably count on it being in that 12-18 range, with some fringe probability higher or lower than that (kind of like this year's pick). The ATL27 definitely has a well defined bell curve around a normal distribution centered around pick 14-15 IMO. Whereas those picks 5+ years away have a flat probability distribution that tails off at the edges. There are even more variables on the future swaps.
I wasn’t including this years pick, because the chances of trading it approach zero.

I felt great about the 2030 and the two swaps two years ago. Now? Not so much. The Luka trade reset Dallas too soon. Minny didn’t fade like some of the other sudden top seeds. They established, with two WCF trips, and probably won’t crater in time.Just from a probability point of view, I'd say next year's ATL pick is a lot more predictable than any of those far out swaps. I whipped up a quick little chart...
