Trade Spurs Trade Ideas

Starting today, Fox can be traded since it's been 6 months since his extension.
It's highly likely that Spurs will wait this summer to assess the Fox/Harper/Castle situation.
Saying that, if there is a good trade offer for Fox today or tomorrow, taking it might be the way to go.

You mean the guy who did everything asked of him without complaint?
Just because he isn't complaining in front of closed doors doesn't mean he isn't complaining behind them.

If your an adult who has had a number of jobs you have surely had one where a person gave the outward appearance that everything is fine meanwhile behind closed doors they complained about everything and everyone all the time.

I completely believe that SA is out on Giannis. I mean, we never called Phoenix about KD because ofage and salary issues, and he was a perfect fit, other than being two timelines ahead.
I always thought the KD thing never went anywhere cause all we were willing to give up was salary filler and the suns didn't want that and the suns wanted either castle or the number 2 pick and the spurs were not giving that up.

Any trade that has Wesley and Branhim in it is not a trade that is going to get you a player the caliber of KD :st-lol:

I doubt that happens, I don't see the Spurs moving Fox a year after he demanded a trade and 6 months after signing an extension. However, under that assumption and Minny striking out on Giannis, there would be worse outcomes than Fox for McDaniels and DDV. Just saying...

It's the Spurs, there are values more important than basketball. For better or worse.
I don't see any of our regular rotation guys other than Barnes being moved before summer 2027. Two playoff runs to see what's the realistic ceiling of this core.

I agree, just laying out a scenario where it would make sense to make such a move, while at the same time not expecting it to happen.

PS: That applies to Fox because he demanded a trade to the Spurs and signed an extension, but everyone else this side of Wemby should be fair game even RIGHT NOW.

If the price for Sabonis is a first round pick and RJ Barrett. I’d be fine with the Spurs entering that chat. I doubt the Kings want to deal with us anymore, but you never know.

Speaking of Boston, what do you all think about Xavier Tillman or Luka Garza. Maybe one of them becomes available now that Vucevic is going to Boston. One is a decent defender the other can shoot threes. Spurs might want to take advantage of some other teams moves. Neither guy is worth more then a 2nd rounder, but younger and probably worth more than Biyombo. Just a thought.

Hauser seems like he's quite valuable to the Celtics, no matter where they are cap wise.
I'd rather bring back Jock Landale. Package him up with Santi and get them over here.

On the topic of Aldama, might Memphis consider Sochan, Olynik and the Atlanta 2027 #1? Aldama fits a position of need, shoots from the arc and would be an immediate starter. Memphis blowing up their roster and collecting picks for their rebuild.

Just for fun I asked my AI what the most likely landing spot for several players were... I dont see it myself, but...

Giannis-Minnesota
Randle- GSW
Kuminga-Milwaukee
McDaniel-Portland
Sochan-Boston
Hauser-SA

I wonder if Randle makes any sense here? His contract expires as Castle's extension kicks in. I'm not a cap guy, but it seems like that would be manageable depending on how much we extend Julian for..

He definitely does since we clearly lack a starting level PF. Fit is not ideal but he's certainly an upgrade over Barnes or starting a SG at PF

Out of our price range and not enough shots and touches for him.
