Indeed I never stopped watching the games, but that place was so toxic, I just checked out a few years ago. This is nice.

This is probably going to take a little while, it's the slow part of the offseason and I'm sure some people are still on the fence. But already there's a lot more life here than there was at SpursTalk in a long time. The platform was sucking the life out of the community.

Hey, appreciate the name-check. I'm R. DeMurre from spurstalk. I was looking for SpursBills also! Glad you're here. I'd taken a break from that site for a little while and then discovered it was basically a graveyard. This place seems like an upgrade.

Something I advise for anyone who took the chance to change usernames... you can add a custom subtitle in your settings, it would be helpful to have a "formerly known as..." in that space, at least for a little while. Totally optional though.

Gotta thank whoever put the time, effort, and money to set up this new forum with all the nice bells & whistles.

It was pretty obvious Spurstalk was no longer a serious operation when its owners/administrators observed a total radio silence throughout the near month in which ST servers went down as if the whole thing didn't exist to them. What compounds the confusion was those continuous fake promises to upgrade the site. Sports forums have generally gone out of fashion in the age of social media spaces (X. Reddit etc.), so Spurstalk was never going to survive a month-long outage, much less in that decrepit state it went out in. It was a good run, and I'm glad we have this place for a new and exciting era of Spurs basketball.

the big 3 who put the place together are Guru of Nothing (actually took it upon himself to launch this place), ffadicted who has done a lot of the back-end work to make this place look as incredible as it does and configuring a lot of the good features like the widget on the home page, and then scott who has taken the mantle from Guru who said he just doesnt have the time to actually run this place full time
