News Spurs Media Day: 9.29.25

Don’t be a stalker. SA folks giving Spurs space is one of the reasons they like us.
Not good chance hed be there same time I went...im really just a foodie so if a spur is eating there it must be good so wanna kno if its something I haven't had

I mean what did we expect :st-lol: they have a full roster, they filled out their front office staff, what else were they going to announce besides something that no one cares about

lol the big announcement is that the Spurs acquired a struggling niche apparel brand that very few people have ever heard of or care about.

Hopefully the don’t put the designers or our most recent City and Statement jerseys on the Bexar Goods team 😂

Any updates on the Fox and Sochan injuries? Looks like they're lightly participating in the videos but are they cleared for 5 on 5 training?

I think Sochan sitting Euronasket out was a precaution.
Fox was cleared in June or July.

Thanks. For Fox, was referring to his never fully disclosed hamstring injury that kept him out of his China tour.

One more day til Spurs stuff happening!

Thanks for this! Doing a little bit of research on the guys moving into Assistant GM roles.

Hao Meng is a Harvard grade (BA, Economics) who started his career in I-Banking with Goldman Sachs before working for the League, starting in the FInance Department and then going into Strategy and Analytics. He joined the Spurs in 2021 as Director of Strategic Analysis and BBall Insight. I actually remember when the Spurs were hiring for this role, I shared the job posting with a friend.

Niraj Mulji has been with the team for awhile, first joining in 2014 as a basketball operations quality assurance assistant. In 2016 he was elevated to Basketball Operations Manager, in 2019 promoted to Director of Basketball Strategy and in 2023 promoted to Sr Director of Basketball Strategy.

Dave Telep has also been with the team awhile. He started in 2013 as a Scouting Coordinator. In 2018 he was promoted to Director of Scouting, a year later promoted to Director of Player Personnel and in 2022 promoted to VP of Basketball Ops. For those who have valid criticisms of our Scouting and Development in the Post-Nephew era... well this is the guy who was in charge of that and now he's been elevated. Do with that what you will.
