Game Thread Spurs (8-4) vs Kings (3-10) (Sun 11/16/25) [3:00PM CDT]

well Sochan's shooting has definitely improved, say what you want
Tbh I like how sparse his minutes has been, so he doesn’t try to keep shooting 3’s and lose confidence - he has to make the few he can shoot count. This will be good momentum for him.

Hopefully this was the last we've seen of Biyombo in non-garbage time.
Olynyk isn't any better defensively, but at least he can play and most importantly space the floor.
If Kelly could take Jeremy under his wing and teach him how to play ball, Sochan might have a chance. Kelly is just so smart and knows the game. Wonder if he is interested in coaching.

Julian aint nowhere near good enough to make that wrap around pass :st-lol:

Sochan has had a couple of brain farts, but he’s playing quite well today

As much as I think he's a lost cause I still think he can be more useful long-term than Devin and Keldon.

When Keldon goes up against defenders like Lavine and DeRozan he looks like an all star. Playing well.

Honestly I don’t even care about the shooting anymore, it’s just the feel for the game. I really think he needs to best buddy up with Kelly this season and try to leech off some of his instincts.

This Keldon slander is tiresome. It’s like folks are constantly waiting for him to miss a shot or have a bad game. Fingers are twitching to type something bad about him the minute he makes a mistake. The truth is he has had just about the same number of bad games as our best players. He’s playing better this season, but people are quick to say he’s awful based on previous seasons. The dude has a blank slate to me.

I would be remiss if I didn’t point out there is still plenty of time for us to lose this, and badly

My main criticism of Keldon this year is that he needs to not shoot any contested or even semi-contested 3s. Wide open is fine, but anytime a guy is within 4 feet I know a brick is inbound. Just play within his limitations

Everyone with half a clue knows this is just a scrimmage game. Let Fox stretch his legs and run the offense, give Barnes a break to soothe his creaky joints, and let Kornet log some minutes while the Alien recharges his otherworldly powers. And hey, let the Short Bus Unit of Keldon Devin and Sochan feel like champs by feasting on Sacramento’s defense made of tissue paper.

I'm the first one to say that we'd be a way better team if everyone had the same effort level as Keldon.
But there's no denying that he's not good enough to be anything more than a 8th/9th man on a serious team. If that.
I can get over his poor shooting, but his lack of understanding on defense is just awful.
