Game Thread Spurs (8-4) vs Kings (3-10) (Sun 11/16/25) [3:00PM CDT]

Damn he was in a boot for that long? That doesn't sound good at all.
I don't think he had the boot on the first game against the Warriors (someone correct me if I am wrong), so if he got it off around that time, that seems like he had it on for about 10 days maybe.

I'm good with Wemby missing a game out of precaution, even if it means an L... but if this turns into a 2-week "is Wemby ready yet" kind of thing... time to fire up Tankathon.

Maybe in Europe. In France, basketball is practically an invisible sport. I think the game is only available through the league pass. National television stations have never broadcast basketball, and the Qatari cable channel that owns the NBA rights will be showing yesterday's game at the same time, while the live game will be Orlando vs. Houston.
Who's watching TV in 2025 anyway? In UK it's on prime, I guess the same applies to the whole Europe and league pass actually works here.

there is no country in Europe that broadcasts the NBA. Germany stopped in 03 or 04 and it was never live. But you were at least able to watch playoff game replays without timeouts etc.
In Poland there's some games on Eurosport. But overall league pass is the best way here. That and high seas.

Barfing at the idea of seeing ANY Bismarck Biyembo minutes.

Should be Olynyk getting those backup C minutes.

I wonder how many minutes can Kornet play. Hopefully he's good for at least 30.

We were really blessed with Duncan in the sense he wasn't injury prone earlier in his career and even when he was older he was pretty durable until his final year. During Duncan's first 6 years he only missed a total of 9 games. Victor due to his body strikes me as a guy who will probably be injury prone throughout his career.

Incredible. That's unheard of in todays game to miss 9 games in 6 years. We were so lucky to have him.

Spurs have a bright future. Oft injured "stars", MATFO obsessed with getting non shooters who are brain dead when it comes BBIQ, and hiring people that they ultimately ignore. Might as well bring in Nico at this point.

Pressures on the spurs tonight. Forget about losing this game, forget about blowing out the Kings by 40 pts, the second the spurs make a mistake, or are perceived to make a mistake, the entire team should be shipped out for 2nd picks and some pancake mix (except castle and wemby of course), and MATFO should be whipped with the cat o nine tails.

On the bright side, at least I won’t have to worry about starting game threads anymore

I’ll call it now:

Saboner triple double
Lavine with 20+
Demar with 20+
Westbrook will also flirt with a triple double

We lose the rebounding battle by double digits

To make it worse I’m forced to watch the Kings feed because Sacramento is a home market here in Hawaii… their pre-game show is actually really good but Kayte Christiansen is like listening to Will Purdue and Michelle Beadle team up to be an announcing team

Will also predict Maxime Reyaud looking good in garbage time minutes causing incremental wrist slitting here on BaselineBums

I see that you've joined us on the doomer side...or maybe you never left?

so you're telling me there's a chance'd

got faith that somehow the spurs pull this out

Wemby is so good that he’s the difference between me expecting us to be competitive in every game and me expecting us to get blown out.
