Game Thread Spurs (60-19) vs Trailblazers (40-39) (Wed 04/08/2026) [8:30 CST]

I like how an NBA head coach/former finals MVP was literally arrested by the FBI for gambling and I’m not even sure it’s a Top 5 story this season tbh
:st-lol:
:st-lol: was just talking to my pops about this when he noticed Splitter was the HC for the Guests. Doesn't get brought up enough tbh.

What’s even up with that case?

Guessing Victor gets his 20 minutes in against Dallas on Friday and then Sunday can be get Lindy to 50 day
Plus, get Harrison back to 10 ppg by scoring 14 in both games (or so) and the team back up to eight players averaging double figures.

Random thoughts.

Sure, the league is moving towards big men with guard skills, like Victor. But perhaps there's an underappreciated inversion...small players with post skills? KJ definitely thrives as our midget big man. To the point that we have all these backup centers on the bench who never play. Like how many 3rd string centers do we have? Three, or is one the third string, one the fourth string, one the fifth string? Lol.

Looking forward to the playoffs.

This makes some sense tbh. Guys who have the most success against Victor tend to be shorter guys who jab their shoulder into his chest. It would be a good counter for teams lacking in the trending big man department
