Game Thread Spurs (59-18) @ Nuggets (49-28) (Sat 4/4/2026) [2:00PM CDT]

Foul count:

Wemby: 3
Harper: 3
Castle: 2
Fox: 2
Keldon: 2

Imperative that our key guys don't pick up fouls early in the 3rd. Will need them all to play heavy minutes in the 4th.

I hate how almost all contact by arms are considered fouls now. Especially when a player on D is invading hte space of the offensive player. I was taught to clear out space with elbows when I had the ball and now if you do that its almost always a foul. Just an aspect of hte game I really dislike in how its called now.

All that's left to do for Wemby is to throw it down all over Jokic. You know it's gonna happen eventually.

So overall the Spurs just thrive when they can play fast - all these whistles slow the game down. Great rehearsal for the playoffs.
Still I would like them to run more although its in Denvers height and its the third game in four nights.
This has been near my primary concern in the playoffs. They thrive moving the ball up against non-set defenses and recognizing when defenses aren't ready. Now, they do have a very good half court offense, so they don't fully depend on transition, but in the POs things get bogged down. Teams know how to bog things down.

That assumes you can replace them with refs who are better. This is 100% the toughest sport to officiate. I just think this crew probably hasn't been prepared for the environment. This is essentially a playoff game.
not false. really difficult to let them play physical and also to try to keep the game clean. they have to give a few whistles here and then that coul seem debatable....

OK, if we lose this game, we don’t need a full on panic attack brothers. We definitely can beat this team in a 7 game series. It’s only one game. 😆

2nd chance points also heavily favoring the Nuggets. Need to gang rebound and not worry about getting on the break. We can get whatever we want against this team in the halfcourt tbh.
