As far as I am concerned the record is 28-1 since Wemby missed the Denver game. Now we need to beat Denver with Wemby..

While we’d all love to see a Wemby MVP - 2nd place with multiple first place votes is such an accomplishment and something to really be proud of.MVP is pretty much a wrap tbh. Likely won't be close either which is ridiculous.
130 at least, they are that bad , but of course we need to not let them score 136 like the last two gamesI'd be surprised if we score less than 115, every competent team has an easy time against the Nuggets defense.

Wemby is on that Goat arc stillMJ and Lebron were both all-NBA and 2nd in MVP voting in their 3rd season, just saying...
And obviously neither won DPOY.

He most definitely is.Wemby is on that Goat arc still![]()
I would be just as satisfied with him getting FMVP !While we’d all love to see a Wemby MVP - 2nd place with multiple first place votes is such an accomplishment and something to really be proud of.
The NBA media believes in these unwritten rules about players having to cut their teeth, which is what cost Wemby DPOY in his rookie year, which I think looking back many of those voters would probably admit they got wrong. The same is at play here, with these voters not going to give it to Wemby because “he hasn’t proven it in the playoffs” which is completely non-sensical in the context of the MVP race, but it’s just a reality.
This will all be easily remedied with a strong post-season performance, which is why many of these same media personalities would tell you Wemby is the favorite for MVP next year already. It’s because he will have “paid his dues” even if there isn’t a significant jump in his play next year (which there very well may be).
Anyway… super proud (if that is the right word) of getting 2nd in MVP with multiple first place votes this year.

Last year I said Champ is 70% of Cam Johnson.
Bit off topic, but those head bands look awesome with those uniforms. I love the contrast of colours there.
i kind of still view this season as his real second season, so, in fact maybe he's ahead alreadyHe most definitely is.
Lebron lost in the second round in his 3rd season.
MJ didn't make it to second round until his 4th season.
Can't compare the likes of Timmy, Magic, Bird or Kareem that had serious help from the start.
1st team All NBA + DPOY would be an amazing achievement in itself. While we’d all love to see a Wemby MVP - 2nd place with multiple first place votes is such an accomplishment and something to really be proud of.

You have a size 20.5 ankle?I would donate my ankle to Victor if it wasn't also angry.
He is just gonna have to be load-managed his entire career. Anyone who thinks Wemby can average 34 MPG/78-80 games played per season without his body breaking down in the process is foolish..Unfortunately it's going to be 30-32 MPG for 68-70 games played if we are lucky.
You're right. Maybe my knee would suffice. You have a size 20.5 ankle?
Lebron says no. He's our starting power forward next year.
Hard pass. Let him do his retirement tour in CLE or elsewhere. Last thing we need is Lebron sucking the air out of the room as we're trying to ring next year.Lebron says no. He's our starting power forward next year.
