Game Thread Spurs (53-18) @ Heat (38-33) (Mon 3/23/2026) [6:00PM CDT]

The Wemby sequence in the 3rd quarter was incredible, first he changed one of the Heat players' shots, then he beat half the Heat players down the court, he saved the bad lob throw with his insane long arms, and then he got the lob from Fox. Wemby is a revelation, and we are here for it.

another impressive road win

A+ in so many levels

- Heat wanted this one (big game standings wise, they've lost 4 in a row heading to this game, probably Spo and Bam want to make a statement/case for Bam's DPOY claim)

instead the spurs out executed, outhustled and just bullied the heat

nice to finally see so many spur killers not go off (Bam, Herro, Ware, Powell played sub bar)

This team is really making strides offensively. It's night and day compared to the stuff they were running early in the season. Wemby especially has improved significantly in this area, setting screens when he needs to, reading correctly when to slip, roll etc... and he's being rewarded with a lot of lobs lately

Anyone noticing Castle is starting to play the Point more and more like CP3? Methodically setting up his teammates.

He has shown flashes of superb vision and passing speed/creativity. But there are still TOVs that really are self made tbh

Indeed Castle ist methodically throwing the ball away way too much. He will hget better. But in the uopcoming playoffs, I want Fox to handle the ball more.

Bold Prediction: Wemby shits all over wemboy's shitty takes.

Wemboy was like the first person I put on ignore, and its good the software filters it out and I don't see the posts but I see everytime one of you decides to engage with an obvious troll and I'm wondering why y'all do that. You think telling the guy who obviously is only here to troll all of you that he's wrong and should change is going to work? HE. IS. A. TROLL. You guys just give them exactly what they want everytime you engage.

I agree with you, Manny, but in case you were addressing me, I think my one-off effort was worth it. Right?

Wow. This team is exceeding expectations in so many ways. Miami had way more to play for than the Spurs last night. Spurs Domination.

I love when we beat the Heat! I draw personal pleasure from seeing the Spurs beat various NBA teams in this order of significance:

1. Lakers - Fvck the entire Lakers organization, their ownership, their preferential league treatment, their 30 statues outside the building.
2. Warriors - Fvck you Zaza
3. Thunder - Fvck you Paul Presti and your giant brain
4. Rockets - Fvck you Bob Hill for being a terrible excuse for a coach and hurting David's legacy by not game planning better for Hakeem in 1995
5. Heat - Fvck you Ray Allen
6. Nuggets - Ok...I love the Joker......but fvck the Nuggets anyway
7. Suns - Fvck you Suns fans. You love being the Spurs' bitch, and expect to get destroyed by the Spurs before a game even starts, so beating you in your house while you cry tiny tears that evaporate instantly in the desert heat is always satisfying.
8. Timberwolves - Fvck you Kevin Garnett
9. Celtics - Fvck you Bill Russell, Red Auerbach and your 80 championships
10. Mavericks - Fvck you Mark Cuban, and Fvck your minority ownership, and Fvck your pu$$y ways. If you still were majority owner there's no way the league would have fixed the lottery in your team's favor after helping orchestrate the Luka trade to the Lakers
11. The rest of the league - fvck you, you stupid fvcking fvckity fvcking poser fvcks.

The block on Powell on the opposite side of the rim doesn’t look that flashy. But anybody whose ever played a second of basketball knows how insane it is to do that against another nba player tbh
Yep, soon as he did it, I was like, that is the block of the game. Insanely hard to do, especially against NBA level players.
