Game Thread Spurs (53-18) @ Heat (38-33) (Mon 3/23/2026) [6:00PM CDT]

OK my bad, this wasn't competitive at all. I thought Spo's guys had more in the tank than this.

This is the game when Pat Riley decided to blow up and go all in for Giannis in the summer.
Honestly, Giannis is breaking down so bad physically I’m not sure what the trade market is for him anymore? Team should be very concerned about what he has left?

At this point, seems like its Giannis or bust for the Heat. Should have swallowed their pride and tanked in either 2025 or 2026. Not sure what 'Heat Culture' is about right now if it is not perpetual mediocrity and farcical stat-padding scenes

I thought he been trying for like three years now to blow it up and can't get anyone to bite

I was actually rooting for the Lakers to win, so the Spurs would clinch Finals HCA sooner than later. Not worried about the #2/#3 at all, the Spurs would have to pull a 2011 to fall that far down at this point anyway.

Still, the Spurs win comfortably tonight, but being in that arena gives bad vibes. Never forget 6. It still hurts.

Yeah if OKC doesn't lose in Boston to the Celtics on Wednesday then the #1 seed is probably out of reach for us.

They have three tough home games in a row, against NY, DET, LAL, and they could still lose at LAC or DEN too, but our schedule isn't exactly cake either, though it's easier than OKC's.
