Wemboy was like the first person I put on ignore, and its good the software filters it out and I don't see the posts but I see everytime one of you decides to engage with an obvious troll and I'm wondering why y'all do that. You think telling the guy who obviously is only here to troll all of you that he's wrong and should change is going to work? HE. IS. A. TROLL. You guys just give them exactly what they want everytime you engage.

As a reader myself, it would be cool if they publicized what the Spurs book club was currently reading (because we read a lot of the same genres in our house)... but I can see how maybe they want to keep it their own thing.

Supposedly Wemby is a huge Brandon Sanderson fan. I haven't read his stuff, but my wife has. Apparently AppleTV is currently in the process of adapting one of his series.

I don't think Wemby necessarily schemes this way... but apparently a lot of celebrity book clubs that are out there work so that the celeb who "endorses" a book gets a part of the book's option rights should it get picked up to be adapted into a movie or show. So there is an inherent interest in celebrities helping blow a book up, and then a financial windfall for them if it gets optioned. Always came off a little scammy to me.

I'd have even more tremendous respect for Vic and the gang if they're into world literature canon. Grew up on the classics and I do think kids these days have to read up on the oldies but goldies.
