Game Thread Spurs (53-18) @ Heat (38-33) (Mon 3/23/2026) [6:00PM CDT]

Fox with a bad last possession but whatever. What an offensive half from our guys tbh. Scored almost 80 points and really picked up the defensive intensity in that 2nd quarter. Beautiful.

Need to keep their foot on the gas though. Games are long and Miami will make runs. Gotta keep pushing.

Fanstastic first half. And yeah, Castle is our second most important player. He brings so much to the table

Defense was a heck of a lot better in that second quarter. Just need to keep up this intensity for another 12 minutes and then we can get some Bench Vanilla (Olynyk-Biyombo)

I am impressed with the motion and ball movement - seems more active than I’ve seen in other games.

My only 2 negatives from the 1st half

1. Kornet inside 3 ft
2. Wemby's foolish 2nd foul

I'm not overreacting when I say that if we keep this roster and everyone continues developing on their current trajectory, we'll be by far the best team in the league.
This place is going to be amazing as Castle and Harper extensions come into focus.

Just need to pin this comment at the top of each thread: Nothing good happens when Wemby dribbles.
I beg to differ. It's not advisable when he's trying to navigate through traffic against smalls but it's a fucking superpower on the break and against plodding bigs.
Keep dribbling whenever you have the advantage, Vic. Mah boi.

I feel like a last-second Wemby three should be mandatory at the end of halves for the Spurs.
The Spurs, especially Fox, have been low key bad at end of quarter situations by shooting too early and sometimes leaving time for the other team to get a decent shot. Ideally the ball shouldn't leave the shooter's hand until there are less than 2 seconds left.

the offense really has been humming, its beatiful to see. everybody eats

its obviously not 2014 levels or anything, but there's something really special brewing here

Need to win this game. OKC @ Boston on Wednesday is probably our last chance at number 1 seed.

1. Bryant is incredible. What remains suspended in mid-air defies physics. 2. It's so nice to see Harper and Castle growing up together. The way they pass the ball around, letting the other initiate the play. 3. Vic goes beast mode at times
