Another big one tomorrow night as we host a 5-2 Rockets team that have won 5 straight. Houston has the #1 Scoring Offense in the league, and are also currently the best 3PT Shooting Team in the NBA. Will be another tough one for our guys, but at least they don't have Luka tbh.

Let's get it. :st-flag:

Someone walk me off a ledge thinking that Fox's injury is worse than they're letting on :st-depressed:
Sochan and Olynyk back on the list is also strange, no?

Keys to the game: Wemby shows up, Castle learns how to pass the basketball. Simple as that

So they kept saying Fox was expected to return the first week of November. Tomorrow is the last day of the first week. This is really starting to get fucking annoying. If he's healthy let him play. If he isn't then quit dicking around and lying about the severity of his injury. I cannot stand how little the Spurs give local media when it comes to injuries

Man, Spurs could get SMASHED tomorrow. If they don't come in super focus, rebound, pay attention to the 3 point shooters, it could get really ugly.

"to our knowledge"

the problem is the local reporters never have knowledge of what's happening. its not even necessarily their own fault, its the team keeping everyone in the dark, not being transparent with fans who may or may not want to buy tickets ahead of time

Yeah I’ll be surprised if this one is close. Can’t believe how little information we have on Fox/Kornet. Fox’s hamstring must be so fucked tbh.

Hmmm. Spurs lose by 24. Castle 9 turnovers. Wemby 13 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, 6 turnovers. Team shoots 9-43 from 3.

given the timeline going back to July, Fox likely had a grade 3 hamstring strain. even grade 2 has an expected 3-6 week recovery timetable and we are now into week 15 or so.

assuming we can take the "no aggravation" stuff at face value, anyway

Like this team understands that as a young team that's missed the playoffs for 6 straight seasons, every game matters right? This getting cute over minor injuries shit to be healthy for a postseason that might not even materialize at this rate is insane. This isnt Tim/Manu/Tony after multiple deep playoff runs, these guys are young. And if it really is a severe injury why not just come out and say it to begin with and quit leading the fans on?

If there are no setbacks then clearly Fox had a very bad strain despite all the reports otherwise. Which means the team is either being too cute or being deceptive. Either way it's annoying. One of the reasons I bought tickets to the opener is because I thought everyone would play since they made it seem like Fox's injury wasn't a big deal when I bought them in the summer. But it apparently must have been pretty bad. Just be more transparent. I don't get the secrecy shit

Im wondering wtf has happened to spurs fans?

Im sorry guys, respectfully, this is nothing but a 24/7 whinefest. Grown men and women i presume, just complaining, talking shit about the team, the staff, whaaa whaaa injuries….whaaa whaa wemby….whaaaa whaaa fox…whaaa whaaaa gonna lose…whaaa whaaaa

Need this trade whaaaa
Biyombo whaaaa
Sochan whaaaaa

Exhausting and depressing.

Im going to say this team is doing all the right things. They are not skipping steps just as pop instilled.
Wemby is going to tear up the league and it will be soon…but there will be setbacks…there will be monster games and there will be disappointing stretches but he will keep steadily improving and this team is going to dominate soon.

Im enjoying the shit out of the season so far and i hope you fellas find some joy in the process and start enjoying the ride a little more…have a little faith…its a good group and they will take a few bumps and bruises along the way but it will only make them better. Chill.

As much as i hate to admit it, Dusty Garza was maybe onto something when he first posted on X that Fox injury could cause him to miss chunk of the upcoming season. It is playing out accordingly so far..It is most definitely Grade 3 strain, which is why he couldn't even hop on a plane for the China camp/promotional..When & how he strained it? that didn't seem to pique the interest of our negligent and cowardly local reporters..

Houston win by 30 at least tbh...

Rim protection we have the new version of Wemby and KO and Biyombo...Houston is the best O.Reb team....Houston is also the best 3p % fg...

It hurts to see the majority predicting a Rockets blowout on our floor (I don't disagree)..I know we are banged-up, but you would think we will always have a chance with a supposedly Top 5 player on our team.

Fully expect the narrative to flip on Wemby if he doesn't step up tomorrow ("fluke first week!", "teams figured him out!" etc..)

I mean honestly we are so short staffed and because of that team's are able to throw 2-3 bodies at wemby and he hasn't adjusted yet to playing out of it, and nobody can really consistently punish teams for doing so. The only one providing that offensive creativity was Harper and now he's out too. Kornet being out doesn't help with keeping Wemby energetic so he's also getting frustrated and exhausted and staying in foul trouble. It's all very compounding.

We need Fox back, it's really pointless to try and judge this team until him and Kornet are back in rotation. In the meantime though things aren't looking too hot
