Game Thread Spurs (5-1) @ Lakers (6-2) (Wed 11/05/25) [9:00PM CDT] on ESPN

Between the unforced TOs and all the offensive rebounds they've given up, it's a miracle they're only down 1. That's not even considering the shit calls and Wemby being soft tbh.

Turnovers, offensive rebounds, and fouling are killing them. Also gotta get the ball into wemby more in the post
How do you get it to him in the post when -

1. He is absolutely unable to establish position in the post; and
2. Guys have zero desire and/or idea how to pass it to him inside.

Very less selfless players on the team.

I am not sure if Wemby can ever be a leader and can command the ball in the spots that he needs the ball.

Wemby better pull his head out of his ass in the second half and realize this is his team to lead.
I understand he wants to make the right decision for the team but at some point we do fucking need his points ffs. Still waiting for the moment he says fuck it and just goes & provokes fouls.

i am really worried how easy it is been to erase Wemby offensively after teams had a few film sessions on his so-called new version...That being said, his increasing dumb foul-rate this season is not helping things..
Wemby needs to get himself involved. To submissive to his teammates trying to involve them.

All in all, an improved performance compared to the Suns game. But damn..we miss Dylan. If he was around..this should have been a much better half for the Spurs. McLaughlin was laughably bad. Hopefully he will be better.

Sochan is trying on defense and hasn't been bad on offense. And Olynyk isn't going to cut it. We desperately need Kornet and Fox to get on the court soon.

Maybe I’m just reading into things but is there a disconnect between Wemby and his teammates? Seems like ever since Wemby got all that MVP talk Wemby has wilted. Or is this team just not ready for the spotlight? I know like half the team is not injured, but damn Wemby you got to step up.

Castle has played not terrible defense on Luka. Lakers are pretty damn good at the screens, and the Spurs are horrific on the switch. People forget Luka is a top five player. I think it was pretty important Castle did not pick up his third foul. Have Castle and Sohan on Luka in the second half. Let him get his limit the role players. Everything is moot if Victor does not have a great second half.

Luka gets to the foul line cause the refs gift him like they do SGA

He had LaRavia on him and ran away from the ball/post tbh.
I don't fucking get it. He can make Anthony Davis look like his nine year old in the paint but won't post up LaRavia or Marcus Smart. When I saw Victor just back his way down into Davis from FT line to the low block and throw that easy jump hook all I could think is NBA = Fucked when Victor isn't scared of the paint anymore. Spurs need to take a Brinks truck to Houston and beg Hakeem to be an assistant.

does anyone have a fucking boxscore that doesn't suck my asshole? wtf did BSPN do to finally lose their last remaining visitors?

Lakers have the two biggest foul baiters in the league with Fatty and Reaves tbh. Fucking nauseating to watch.

Davis is like Wemby, defensively aggressive. The other two bait you into aggressive moves, then flop or pull the chair out to force offensive fouls or traveling calls.
