Game Thread Spurs (5-1) @ Lakers (6-2) (Wed 11/05/25) [9:00PM CDT] on ESPN

Anyone got guidance on free trials to streaming services? Seeking best quick and dirty choice. I think I subscribed to Hulu once, like a decade ago, so not sure if eligible. Looks like I can do a five-day free-trial on Fubo (a known, never used service). Anything else to consider on the use of free trials? Can I go straight to ESPN? Is there a slimmed down ESPN only subscription I might want to look at? I'm pretty stupid about all this.

Feel like we could sell some tshirt merch - "I signed up for a free trial and all I got was a crummy Lakers game" (actually, not a crummy game tbh, but I have sentiments about this cable nonsense that I can't let go of)

I use shady sights that stream games for football and NBA games but it cost zero just the annoyance of killing pop ups

So this game is gonna come down to the same thing as the phoenix game. Wemby is gonna get the ball in the high post, they're gonna roll a double team. So now he's gotta either dominate and get into a groove early or we're gonna live and die by our outside shooting when he kicks it out. Last game vs phoenix they couldn't hit shit and then Wemby had no rhythm because he was playing facilitator so much

Sochan is clearly better than Biyombo and they have the same height. Doesn't take a genius to understand that, but of course you don't.

Lakers have been playing good ball but would be nice to pick up a W w/o Reaves and LeBron. Much more winnable game than the Rox one IMO.

I could not for the life of me figure out how to navigate the ESPN subscription thing the other night. I have a Hulu/Disney/ESPN+ bundle but apparently that's not enough to get you live ESPN. You need some other super bundle (that doesn't have free trials). Fubo or the high seas may be your best option. A co-worker is letting me borrow his Spectrum login for this one.

People don't want to admit it, but Sochan has been able to keep Luka relatively in check when they face off with each other. Luka vs. Spurs when Sochan plays, 35MPG, 31ppg on 43% FG, 32 3P%, 54% TS, 10 rebounds, 10.1 assists, 2 stls. The last two games Sochan actually held him to 21pts on 25% shooting and 28 pts on 36% shooting, so having Sochan back to guard Doncic could help.

But then this goes against the narrative people try to paint, which is if Sochan is bad on offence, he must suck at every single other aspect, including defence, his general intelligence and how he is as a person.

This, without Sochan Castle's prolly next man up and being down Fox + Harper puts a ton of pressure on Castle on both ends. Surprised to be saying this, but it'd be great to see Sochan tonight

Or just use an adblocker add-on? I use uBlock with Chrome, watch a lot of NBA on allstream and methstreams...0 popups
