Game Thread Spurs (5-1) @ Lakers (6-2) (Wed 11/05/25) [9:00PM CDT] on ESPN

Yes dn0774. Quick release and
somewhere someone taught Fox proper shooting motion. One of my big mysteries is why these guys are allowed to practice with a flaw. Not just Castle but watch others. They catch , take the ball down to their waist , and then back up and set the platform and then shoot. Too much wasted time for and motion. Watch Fox catch , go immediately up to his platform and then shoot. Seems like a basic shooting fundamental to me.

@ShamsCharania BREAKING: De'Aaron Fox's return to action for the San Antonio Spurs has been delayed indefinitely while he seeks a second opinion about a hamstring tendinopathy diagnosis on the advice of a family advisor.
A family advisor 🤦 we have another fucking uncle to deal with.

Goddamn, you gave me a heart attack

wtf is happening with Kornet and Fox? If they’re truly injured in a worse condition, just say it.

If not and they’re being more cautious as science/medicine prescribes, that’s bullshit. This team is not a late May/June team. It’s a young up and coming team that’s shown so far the highest of the highs and the lowest of the lows.

We need all these games to get a guaranteed spot in the playoffs where we would be happy to lose in the WCSF.

I'm starting wonder if there's a trade in the works. Fox/Sochan for LeBron & Son? Vanderbilt and Sochan would be a hilarious combo. Starting to get weird with their injuries.

this should really be some ban-worthy shit. posting fake Shams posts about Fox injury. I mean come the fuck on. At least one warning of a ban, this is some real horseshit

Fox can't be traded until February (or close) so would be wild if the Spurs held him out that long :st-lol:

Kornet’s was on the broadcast. He came out of a play limping and making the “oh shit I did something to my ankle” face. They kept him in the game after that, which is a fun detail for a team holding out a guy who can’t shoot because of wrist soreness.

Luck the Fakers but this is a scheduled loss. Really needed that Phoenix one but here we are.
We needed to be 6-0 for when we were to be 6-2. But here we are, still with no injured players coming back in sight and with Harper added to that list.

We don't need to be 6-0, we need Wemby and the team to preview what high stakes basketball looks like so that it doesn't hit them like a freight train when the time comes and they have much less time to react. Spurs aren't going to win the title this year, but they need to put themselves in position to be tested, and they need everyone healthy when it matters. Also, the FO needs to be reminded that this team needs shooting wings and forwards in the worst way, not saying they should go ahead and pay whatever out of desperation but they can't be complacent and think Harrison Barnes, Keldon and Vassell are enough.

Would at least be nice to get Sochan/Olynyk back. Sochan gives us a defender to throw at Luka and Olynyk is a wildcard but surely would be a noticeable upgrade over Biyombo.

If we don’t get any of these guys back I’m fully ready for the meltdown here though :st-lol:

Looking at some breakdowns of the rockets game last night there’s a play where they run a screen to get Reed switched on a big so that he can do a simple action and hit an open step back 3.

Looked basic enough. Very effective and precise with a defined goal. They’re running that for an ancillary guy and we seem to have no set plays for anyone for large stretches at a time.

So sick of them treating injuries info like it is a classified state secret. If Kornet has Grade 2 sprain, just come and say it; if he needs 3-4 weeks out, so be it. Same for Fox. Dude very clearly strained his hamstring severely sometime in late July and they are tiptoeing around the fact, acting like he's been ramping up and ready to go for 5 weeks now when it is likely he was still observing the initial recovery timeline which is 3-4 months

Yeah, we now need at least a split from from Lakers/Houston so the team doesn't lose confidence and go on a tailspin. Staying in Top 6 seed territory all season-long should be the goal. I remember how frustrating last season to get over the .500 ball hump.
