Game Thread Spurs (49-18) @ Clippers (34-33) (Mon 3/16/2026) [9:00PM CDT]

I dont think Clippers have any serious firepower tbh
Garland and Mathurin can get hot in a hurry tbh. Even then team ball and just going at the rim is getting it done for them; will prolly get another 12+ freethrows the rest of the game.

It’s amazing how successful this year has been despite having useless players in

-Biyombo
-Olynyk
-Now Plumlee im 50-50

Getting to useless territory next year
-Barnes
-Plumlee

And then useless 2 way slots
-Ingram
-Minix
-Whoever scrub is on for this slot at any given week

Clippers really going away from Lopez in the second half. Joco and Isaiah Jackson small ball lineups are running on San Antonio pretty good. Spurs thrive on pace but can teams beat them at their own game? Might be something to prepare for a playoff opponent to try.

Going away from Lopez was their secret weapon. If he had been in, it’s all over

Instead of the usual softball post-game questions, I would like to hear a reporter ask Mitch Johnson why he stuck with an ineffective lineup for so long while the Spurs lost their big lead. Maybe he would reply, honestly, that it was a dumb mistake.
