Game Thread Spurs (49-18) @ Clippers (34-33) (Mon 3/16/2026) [9:00PM CDT]

He went to Stanford and apparently wanted to stay in the area. Asked teams not to draft him because he had a promise from the Kings.

I wouldn’t fault the front office because obviously they assembled a great roster to where they are right now. They seem to always end up doing the right thing, except the Scola but that’s another topic. Right now I’m happy as a clam

is injured not playing tonight right?

if so, easy W

As I said after the Hornets game, I hope they left Kornet at home, we don't need him for the Kings.

Should be an easy W if scumbag isn't playing.
Was a good call out on this, hoping that Luke might just need a rest and we skipped him in this trip as well. His productivity has been on the decline lately on both ends.

Harper being out I hope is just being cautious, is that the same calf that he hurt earlier in the year?

its the other leg ...

Wish I could go to this game but, sadly, schedule doesn't allow it. Probably a good thing since my win % is something like .100 when watching them live tbh. :st-lol:

Intuit is an awesome arena though, highly recommend for people to check it out if they're ever in LA.

A lot of people were already pencilling in Korndog as our back up C for 2-3 years but his body is breaking down
Count me as one of those people. He has been awful lately so with this injury news I am just going to assume he has been playing through it until he couldn't.

Hope Kornet just needs a wear and tear rest like HB seemed to. HB bounced back slightly after his return implying some rejuvenation occurred.

He's only 30yo, it's not like he's an over-the-hill vet. No reason he can't be the backup C to Victor with a young C in the pipeline to split the minutes with.

He has more than enough chemistry with everyone on the court, Wemby included, to where I wouldn't switch him out of the backup C spot unless it's absolutely necessary or his body truly breaks down, like DWhite's back in the day. Just needs some help to reduce the load or give him some designated rest days without having to rely on the corpse of Plumlee for full games...

I wanted to go but my son’s Boy Scout meeting tonight. He’s the SPL and I’m the Scoutmaster . But hopefully next time

Glad Luke is getting some rest. Dylan I'll miss, but calf injuries are not to be played with. With he who should not be mentioned out we should step up.

OT: Anyone else hate 7 game series in the first and second rounds? Should be 3 out of 5 and get this shit moving. Tbh fwiw IMO

Not when you're the higher seed, which the Spurs will be. Short series allow worse teams to sneak lucky wins out. Was even worse when it was best of 3 and you'd have shit like a .500 Rockets team taking out a Lakers team that while it was horribly coached still had a prime Magic and Kareem.

Best of 3 is crazy. Didn't know that was a thing :st-lol: and yeah that is a good point

Got to do a better job of containing BroLo this time. Our defense seems to struggle with stretch bigs that can shoot the 3. Naz Reid is another one. Can't sag off them defensively or they make you pay.

Have you been to Intuit yet? Besides the annoying mobile app entry, it's a pretty good experience. Better than Crypto and much better than SoFi tbh.

Will be interested to see how Plumlee performs in the non-Wemby minutes against Lopez.

Regardless, if Kawhi is out we have no excuse not to win. Clippers have had a -5.9 net rating with Kawhi off the floor this year (+6.7 with him on)...we should be able to win this handily even on the road. Let's blow them out and get the main guys some rest so they're in a good spot for tomorrow's game against Sacramento.

Nah, much prefer 7 game to rule out bullshit outcomes as Bum said. If anything, the regular season should be cut down by 10+ games so we can start playoffs earlier tbh.

I'm going to the next game at Intuit, really looking forward to it!
