Game Thread Spurs (43-16) @ Knicks (38-22) (Sun 03/01/26) [12:00 PM CST]

The gut feeling is that we will take the L tomorrow, but let’s be competitive. We don’t need to get blown out by 20 points here. KAT is and always will be soft as hell. So take it right at him.

I'm predicting an L tomorrow tbh. Knicks are already a bad matchup for us due their size and physicality on the interior, along with their depth and the fact that they're an older/veteran team. And this one's in NYC. We're kind of due for an L too tbh. Will gladly eat crow on this if I'm wrong though. Hopefully the boys ball out and grab another road W.
I'll take a loss if it means we're competitive throughout. F the Knicks though, let's beat them.

next 9 games gonna be tough, dont expect the spurs to get that 1 seed, but if they somehow do, wemby mvp 😎

Knicks would want to be the one to stop the winning streak. Wemby will be motivated to disappoint Knick’s fans. It’s going to be a back and forth game. But Wemby’s defense would prevail, while Castle will have triple double in points, assists and rebounds. Spurs by 5pts. GSG! :st-flag: :st-flag: :st-flag:

I just can't get there with them ringing this year.

It'd go against everything I've learned in 30 years of watching NBA basketball tbh :st-lol:

Experience matters, especially in the NBA. There's really no historical precedent for a team this inexperienced getting to the Finals let alone winning it tbh. The only similar team I can think of would be the Shaq Magic but even they had some playoff experience before getting swept by the Hakeem Rockets.

I'd be fucking pumped to be wrong though...

I expect the D to show up - just hope for that balanced outside shooting to continue and below avg turnover rate - If this happens, our Spurs will cook today!
