Game Thread Spurs (41-16) @ Raptors (34-24) (Wed 02/23/26) [6:30 PM CST]

Wait first I’m hearing castle sore thumb. when that happen? (I know it’s been an issue all year talking recent exacerbation)
I know you may not have been able to follow with all the flirting and grab-ass going on between Sean, Toby, and Matt in the booth, but late, in the beginning of the fourth quarter, Toby came out with a report that Castle had aggravated his thumb and would not be playing the rest of the game. That's why everybody's darling Harper was in the game in the crunch time.

And those without Harper color glasses would notice that he played terribly missing the free throws. But then the Harper color glasses team liked the fact that he got his rebound.
Mitch or Sweeney or whomever decided to put Castle back in the game in the last few seconds because they weren't going to let this win get fucked up.

So apparently, he got banged up as well as everybody else playing 5 on 5 football on Monday night with the Detroit Pistons, which everybody in his thread seemed to forget about, just so they could bitch and clang and harangue on their favorite Spurs whipping boy doing commentor cosplay as Coach Pop or what ever it is that makes em spew such cringy statements in the game threads about players.

Thanks, I must have missed that. Unfortunate. Going to need him if we have any chance

Was at the game, he closed it out but is he injured for tomorrow?

Don't think there is a shooting coach after Chip left.

tbh....I sometime wonder how these "professional" players in the strongest league in the whole planet still need a "shooting coach".... it sometime seems that athletics ability alone can get you into the league already. "Basketball skills" are second fiddle to that.

Didn't catch a second of the game but glad to see the Spurs managed to avoid falling into the trap imo.

With OKC playing Denver on Friday and so decimated by injuries right now, we could be the 1 seed in the West by the end of the week.

(This is if OKC loses both their remaining games this week and we win both games in New York.)
One game at a time

The Spurs shooting coach recently was Jimmy Baron

Baron will serve as the Spurs assistant coach/player development after spending the past two seasons as the team’s shooting development coach from 2023-25. Prior to joining the Spurs, he worked as head skills coach at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida from 2020-23, following a decade of experience running basketball camps, training athletes and supporting USA Basketball’s regional Youth Development Clinic in 2016. He played professionally for 11 seasons across Europe, including a EuroCup Championship with Lokomotiv Kuban (Russia) in 2013. A Rhode Island native, Baron played four collegiate seasons at the University of Rhode Island under his father, Jim Baron, earning 2006 A-10 All-Freshman and 2009 All A-10 First Team honors.

It’s ok to just say you had a bad game, no need for the excuses tbh. post ASG schedule has been pretty generous..
Lol. He isn't giving an excuse ...he is offering a valid reason and blaming his preparation for the game for the actual performance. It's a honest, self critical reasoning about not being physically ready for the game. Wemby's self awareness is one reason why he is such a great player at such a young age.

Most 10-game winning streaks in NBA history by a franchise

1- Celtics (33)
2- Lakers (29)
3- Spurs (23)
4- Sixers (17)
5- Bucks (15)
6- Warriors, Suns, Sonics/Thunder (13)
7- Bulls, Jazz, Pistons (12)

We are NBA royalty, tbh..
Only spotted the Celtics and Lakers a couple of decades, eh?

They were talking about:

Collin Murray-Boyles

Collin Murray-Boyles

3 hours ago Murray-Boyles has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against the Spurs due to a left thumb contusion, Kayla Grey of TSN reports.

Burn the "tape"
Be happy with 10 wins in a row!
Hope that Wemby breaks out of this offensive funk an that we can work the refs better than we've seen the last two games.
No excuses tomorrow to get 11 straight
