Game Thread Spurs (41-16) @ Raptors (34-24) (Wed 02/23/26) [6:30 PM CST]

Easy to say on the other side of a win, but our guys need these moments for the playoffs tbh. This and Monday were some excellent practice runs of a first and second round matchup (in reverse order probably). This had let down written all over it, up until the buzzer but they hung in there despite another mediocre/bad offensive night from the superstar and the absolute worst free throw performance I’ve seen in all my 30 something years of watching the sport.

Coming out in the start of the 4th after being down 15 showed a lot of spine.
Love it.

Let's put this win in perspective. This was a road win against a top 5 team in the east. All things considered, it was a great win.
Where Wemby played like shit offensively and we missed an ungodly amount of FT's in the 4th Quarter. Gutsy win tbh. That said, Spurs can't miss that many FT's. Just can't happen. That will absolutely lose you games/series in the Playoffs.

Jacob shut Vic down tonight. He was great.
And that's what he does. He's an amazing defender. He's also an amazing defender of bigs. The only problem is that unless the Raptors play the Spurs in the finals, it's not going to make a damn bit of difference.

The resilience to find a win on the road against a top 5. Ugly game but it’s valuable experience to keep trusting the process, hanging in there, keep fighting. 10 straight, let’s goooo!

Stop me if you've heard this one: Got home from work, turned on the game, immediately the Raptors went on like a 26 to 4 fucking run so I turned it off right as Victor came back in the game.

You're welcome. 😂
We appreciate your sacrifice.

Real talk: who the fuck is our shooting Coach? And why does he keep failing upwards in our organization? Watching that FT brickfest, can someone tell me of single success at a project/player this guy has achieved since he took over from Chip?

Did they even hire another shooting coach?

:st-lol: :st-lol: May we ask if you are okay to watch playoff games only on replay?

Don't think there is a shooting coach after Chip left.

tbh....I sometime wonder how these "professional" players in the strongest league in the whole planet still need a "shooting coach".... it sometime seems that athletics ability alone can get you into the league already. "Basketball skills" are second fiddle to that.
