Game Thread Spurs (41-16) @ Raptors (34-24) (Wed 02/23/26) [6:30 PM CST]

CP0 also missed a big chunk of Game 7 due to injury and the Spurs still couldnt close the deal, all after choking away Game 6 at home :st-lol:

why didnt we repeat in 2015 again ? Tim's knees ?
Losing that game @ NOP on the last day of the season really hurt us in regards to playoff seeding. If we win that game we would've been in a different part of the bracket instead of playing against LAC without home court. We were on like an 11 game win streak and really should've won that game easily. Missing Tiago Splitter so much of that year really hurt. Dude just couldn't get healthy.

We played the Warriors well that year, really felt like we could've done damage against them.

Was such a bs west first round matchup to face those Clippers. That 2015 G7 night vs the Clippers was one of the most stacked sports nights of all time. There was a big boxing match Mayweather vs. Pacquiao plus the Kentucky Derby or something.

Splitter being injured, which hurt our frontline defense because we relied on Baynes to guard Blake Griffin. Parker looking his worst that year and Nephew getting cucked by Matt Barnes in the last few games. Still, the Spurs were a Chris Paul miss away from winning the series. 39yo Duncan putting the team on his back against the prime years of Blake and Jordan was GOAT level shit, tbh.

Danny Green was key in that series too.

Spurs shit the bed against the Pelicans in the last regular season game to end up in the 7th seed tbh.

Pop was in senile mode in game 6, doing hack a Jordan when the Spurs had the lead and given Clippers all the momentum smh.

Horribly coached series by Pop for sure (outcoached by Doc :st-lol:). Him refusing to bench Porky for Patty that series was another notch on the ol' belt tbh.

I can watch about 30 minutes of tonight's game, we better do take care of business early.
Scottie Barnes is playing, upgraded to available.

OKC punting tonight @ Detroit. Sitting Chet, IHart and Caruso as well as Shai/JDub/Ajay still out.

Wow....CIA OKC must be trying out ultra small lineup against the top East team.

Detroit better try to punk them tbh :st-lol:

Spurs are good again, and we are getting Mayweather v Pacquiao II, what a world!

Oh God I forgot about that. That entire series was frustrating as hell. Enrique going hero-mode and forcing the issue pissed me off badly too. I didn't expect to repeat that year, but losing the way we did also sucked. Only redeeming part of that series was that we got this clip out of it tbh.

2015 west 1st rd probably was the one series that took the most life off my heart. that G7 was heart pounding all game. Total disappointment. Forgot about Matt Barnes destroying us. That last shot by CP3 was so good but it was the end of our era.

Kawhi shooting 31%, 20%, and 38% in the final 3 games of the series against LAC is some potential Uncle Dennis tamper smoke in hindsight 👀
