• I'm with you on the Hansen trade but way too early to call it.
• The Grant extension happened before the Lillard trade
• They brought in Holiday to serve as a mentor for their young guys which frankly is a Spurs-y move. I believe this put them into the apron but i'm not sure if they care too much while they're in this rebuild phase.
• Chauncey is their Primo, it happens
• They were never gonna outank the bottom feeders this year

You're also not giving them credit for fleecing the Wizards for Deni who is the best contract in the league for the new few years.

Historically, it's obviously not a discussion between the two franchises. But it's just a pet peeve of mine when Spurfan over-indexes BWrong's wheeling and dealing when pretty much every positive thing that's happened to the club was the result of them lucking into Wemby.

The Zollins extension looks horrible, the Vassell extension looks terrible, Keldon's contract, No Fox, etc. All stuff that we'd be blasting the FO for if they didn't get lucky with some ping pong balls tbh

Hansen is the blazers’ primo. The blazers traded a 2028 first round pick for a second round player, lol. The Grant signing is inexcusable. The blazers knew Lillard was going to ask out. They choose Scoot over him because they’re morons. If you want to bring in a vet, do like the spurs did and bring in guys one reasonable deals.And they definitely could have tanked this year if they hadn’t made the stupid decisions they made the two or three years prior.

The difference between the spurs and the blazers is the Spurs correct their mistakes. The blazers just compound them.

Technically not correct. The Cup Championship Game counts for almost nothing, but it does count as a game played. That would mean that Victor has 83 possible games, and can miss 18, leaving him 5 more misses, not 4.

Wemby has played 43 games for awards purposes. The Cup championship did not count for anything but money AND giving the participants an extra game played for post-season award purposes. If the game were included, it would show Wemby has to miss 19/83 games to miss out on post-season awards. Instead, the chart implies he only has to miss 18 games, which means they're only counting 82 games.

Also, a lot of Peacock games have been getting simulcast on NBCSN this year because NBC has been losing a shit ton of money on their sports and have realized they can't force people to pay for Peacock. If NBCSN is a network you always have on your cable plan, check to see if the game is on there. If you have YouTubeTV like me, you won't be able to see if it will be simulcast until right before game time.

The Blazers received a 2028 first (which is actually pretty juicy... unprotected from ORL) in the Hansen deal (and 2 SRPs), they didn't send a 2028 out. (Note, they also have an unprotected swap with MIL that year on their own pick)

Doesn't make Hansen a good pick, but that was actually a pretty good trade IMO to move back 5 spots in the draft.

my peasant amex blue cash preferred does not get such perks, though i do get $120 annually toward disney plus, so theres that

Switched to AMEX Plat from the Sapphire Reserve after they hiked the annual fee too, no regrets tbh.

If memory serves, ST actually hosted a Pistons forum because there were no decent alternatives back in the day. Seemed to recall there were a half-dozen or so Piston fans frequenting the board.
