Game Thread Spurs (40-16) vs Pistons (42-13) (Mon 02/23/26) [6:00 PM CST] on Peacock

Agreed. We have a few guys to throw at Cade and deal with his physicality, including Castle, Vassell, Harper, Bryant. They have some wings we could cheat off of in Ausar and Holland.

I could see Durens physicality giving wemby some fits on the boards though
Wemby doesn’t use physicality, so it won’t much affect him. That standing reach…

Pistons are getting overshadowed, unfortunately for them. They're having an amazing year. Huge turnaround in a few years.

That Robert Horry game 5 might be my favorite spurs moment of a non clinching playoff game of all time.

Nice to see pistons be good again.

So pumped to be in town to catch 5 home games in a row in person starting with when the pistons visit the Spurs
That's killer you are catching 5 games and that Game 5 in '05 was just unreal! Viva Big Shot Bob despite all. Just a killer moment for us. Manu in Game 7 and Tim with a sprained ankle I'll never forget.

In theory we matchup well. In a seven games series I'd favour the Spurs, but the Pistons are rolling and at home, so I could see them hold serve during the regular season.

Spurs and Pistons are sitting pretty and happy with the trade off. Wizards should top the list after the season. What struck me here is how little in terms of young, blue chip prospects the Blazers got out from being so bad for past half decade. I mean Scoot Henderson & Clingan is an awful return for their 5-year of craptitude.

Peacock exclusive, absolutely stupid to not get all 82 games on regular TV but that was the norm before the late 90s actually especially with non-nationally televised home games.

I recommend using [Edited by a mod: do not direct people to illegal streams in our forums, thank you]. Never had an issue with virus and I've been doing that 12+ years for NFL, MLB, and NBA.

Better that than to pay the greedy trillionaire corporate pigs if you don't already have that service for another reason. #RepealDMCA :st-smokin:

Game is not on League Pass?

I'm not sure, I heard they changed the rules, at least with NFL Sunday Ticket for [Peacock and Paramount exclusive] games. I'm not sure if it's the same with the NBA.

I haven't had League Pass since 2007, haven't really needed or wanted it since then because I've watched Spur games live on FSNSW/KABB/KENS/ whatever national telecast from 2008-2013 (really from 1999-2013, but I had league pass from 2002 to 2007 because I was homeschooled back then before 8th grade & really didn't have many hobbies outside of XBOX NBA 2K and posting on the IGN forums before I joined Spurstalk, occasionally playing basketball/football outside with friends on weekends when they got off school, etc) and then I was in college from 2014-2016 and that's when I started using bootleg streams most of the time, and since the 2017 playoff fiasco I haven't really cared about the NBA up until this season for obvious reasons

damn we would have three peat. Wasnt that derek fisher .3 sec ? we would have beat the hell outta the larrybrwon pistons that year.

Not so fast. The 2005 Spurs team was objectively better and deeper than the 2004 team, plus MUCH better three point shooting with Barry a central character... in 2004 we had Turkoglu who was a career playoff choker and we had no backup point guard in '04 (literally Jason Hart who was our 4th string PG in 2001-02 and only saw the court that year 10 games when Terry Porter/Antonio Daniels were out injured, and wasn't even good enough to make the roster all year on the 2002-03 championship team, was passed up on the d-league now g-league for Anthony f**king Goldwire when Speedy Claxton went down early, yes THAT Jason Hart)...., we had Rasho Nesterovic who was an objectively weaker starting center than Mohammed, heck we struggled mightily to score on a very average defensive Lakers team that playoffs, what makes you think the 2004 Spurs, easily the worst offense in the Duncan era, could ever crack 70 points on the mighty 2004 Pistons?

nah we win. But good points.

Huge game for the boys tonight. Both teams on a tear right now, clear top 3 in the league forming between us two and OKC. Pistons should be favored slightly, but an away win here would be massive for our journey into the playoffs.
Steph gonna have a big assignment on Cade tonight, I hope Mitch is working with him to make sure he knows defense is priority # 1 2 and 3 for him. Which means Fox stepping up big for backcourt scoring and playmaking.

LFG

Off the top rope, tbh

I hope we are playing too well to get blown out tonight as focus and effort should NOT be a problem. 2 min to play and the game is 1 possession and I'll take it..
