Game Thread Spurs (34-16) @ Mavs (19-31) (Thu 2/05/26) [7:30 PM CST]

Miss part of the game...so was watching highlights....

Cooper has a legit floater game already...He was finishing against Castle and Wemby with around 4 to 5 floaters in the game

Luka I am not high on him as a player. I never have been. He’s a complete one-way player. A very skilled and talented one-way player, but still just one way. His defense is absolutely some of the worst in the league.
he's above castle, sga and amen thompson in steals, has the best defensive instincts out of any forward when it comes to not biting on pump fakes and has shown many times the worst thing the opposition can do is go at him in iso. He's just not athletic and is bored most of the time.

personally i dont see how you rig the lottery unless all 30 teams (and members of the media present in the drawing room) are in on it

i also just dont see how the ping pong system can really be gamed in any meaningful way

then again, the mavs landing Flagg is the one lotto conspiracy that is very hard to refute narratively :st-lol:
AD going to the Lakers and Pelicans got
Yea Wemby seemed pissed toward the end. I wonder if it was just frustration over losing that 13 pt lead and huddle stuff, that effected his half-ass handshake with Flagg, or if there's some animosity between them.
Wemby doesn’t normally fraternize with the competition is what I notice. He’s old school like that.

I dont believe so...actually...i have noticed many games against okc and several other opponents wemby will head straight to the locker room and/or wait for teammates to head to the locker room and definitely bypass the shaking of hands...

for a second i was ready to hear from the fans/media something negative - but so far have not...

IMO - it might just be a Euro thing...maybe the postgame formalities are different there?

hes pissed cause this team aint trying to improve. We are a good team,Doesnt mean we cant keep improving.Saw yabu and jocks with
there new teams,And they looked real good.

Dude, Harper has as much chance on the ROY if he’s starting and playing for a bad team. Harper can score on anybody, is never hurried, knows how to dictate the tempo of the game, sees everybody. Flagg is great, but Harper will be the best PG in 2-3 years as someone here mentioned.

We have seen nothing to suggest this is inevitable.

Possible? Sure. But you're predicting on the basis of hypotheticals. Flagg is actually doing it.

It's also possible Kon Knueppel could be the greatest 3-point shooter of all time but I'm certainly not going to outright predict it when I've actually seen the greatest 3-point shooter of all time play.

He is probably upset that colonial France fumbled the bag so bad in eastern Maine.

Spurs did a good job finishing this game. Even though the Spurs haven't been in the playoffs in a while, I think every team gets up for them because of the Wemby hype. I don't think we surprise anyone these days, so I don't expect to see us blow many teams out. There's an excitement in the building from the fans and the opposing team whenever and wherever Wemby plays, similar to Jordan back in the day.

As fans we see games like this and expect a 30 point blowout, because we expect every game to be a perfect measure of one team's superiority over the other.

But there's a reason the Vegas line was "only" -7.5, there's a reason Playoff series are seven games instead of one, and there's a reason teams play 82 games instead of a single elimination tournament.

Exactly. There’s playoff experience when it comes to execution, and then there’s the physicality. They’ve been dealing with the physicality all season. The execution comes with experience, but the physicality is preparing them well.
