Game Thread Spurs (32-16) vs Magic (25-22) (Sun 2/01/26) [8:00PM CST]

Tough matchup with their size and physicality.

Castle probably has to defend Banchero by default. Sure, it worked for a half vs Sengun, but that's not going to be sustainable vs overpowering scoring bigs and the Magic, as sub par shooting as they are, don't have a non shooter like Thompson for Wembanyama to roam off of.

Have court-side seats to this game. If the game is played it will be moved back. Hoping it happens and if later better for the team.

Doesn't look like the game with happen. I was sort of hoping it'd be pushed back a day, but what do you guys think? Will it be pushed back further?

Tomorrow's game being canceled would buy us some rest, but they'd prob just reschedule it and make it a 2nd leg of a b2b later this season instead tbh.

Looks like it will be canceled and we need it to be canceled for sure. I don’t see any way we win tomorrow’s game.

If the Spurs can fly home tomorrow they can just have it on Monday since the Magic play in OKC Tuesday tbh. That said, Spurs prolly won't be able to fly out until Tuesday.

I'd rather the team be safe than fly out earlier. Like, is snow in these places something that happens from time to time?

I don't know much about snow and travelling when it's snowing and/or how safe it is. It's going to be over 40 degrees celsius where I'm at. I haven't lived anywhere where it's snowed. Only snow I've seen is when I was on holiday in NZ.

This much snow in the South is unusual but happens more often than what happened last week. That said, it'll be enough to shut down NC for a day or two.
