Game Thread Spurs (27-11) @ Timberwolves (25-14) (Sun 1/11/26) [6PM CST]

Dumb losses but they're young team coached by inexperienced coach. Lessons will be learnt hopefully .We need to make sure we hiring the best money can buy shooting coach for our young guards. Without 3s they will never be able to utilise driving potential and provide space for Wemby. Also why don't we play pick and rolls? Too much ISO ball especially for a team playing "too many" PGs.

We are a 50 win plus team. No more waiting Time for the dumbfuck FO to make a trade for shooters and perimeter defenders.

Zhero ball is gaining attention on TikTok, not games. Beware of immitchment, Spurs.

Great defense from the Wolves despite Rudy's stupid fouls, well rendered by the stupidity of the Castle-Keldon duo.

Sand Castle seems to be crumbling at the first wave. Too many offensive fouls. The ram must use his head to force his way through, not his horns. Please sand the message, this message will self-destruct until the next wave.

Nice footwork for Harper, but he looks like a baby leaving Castle's potty on the beach and wanting to do like the grown-ups by forgetting to lift the toilet seat. He'll figure it out eventually.

Victor in foul trouble despite the minutes restriction didn't help. Always valuable at free throws: it's good for the future: in France, 10/10 is a very good grade in fifth grade, it's time to move on to 20/20 in high school by provoking even more fouls, it's money. Not TikTok money, championship money.

A good loss to be honest: this team has to learn. But it needs to learn to play together, not to multiply the iso and hero ball.

The most consistent player on both sides of the court for a long time now remains Champagnie, who would have believed it?.

Castle/Harper line ups killed us in this game. Fuckin up 5 possessions in a row results in a Wolves run. Was totally expected to happen. Just dumb mistakes by our young guards.

Kinda funny how this thread started by making fun of Jaylen Brown for complaining about the officiating - and then evolved into people here complaining about the officiating ... 🤡
The offense is really rough right now for the Spurs. Castle seems to have been figured out, Harper seems to have hit the rookie wall and lost all confidence in his scoring abilities, Fox alternates between short scoring outbursts and long droughts, the 3P shooting has been mostly bad (it was actually okayish in this game, I'd say) - that pretty much leaves only Wemby as the sole source of efficient offense.
While some of those problems will get better, I guess, the coaching staff should get more creative and active in trying to help steady the ship. Having iso possessions resulting in fadeaway jumpers as your only offense in crunch time is not a good look. Why are there no pre-screens to try and free up Wemby? Why no secondary screens when the first attempt at running a play gets thwarted? Why no P'n'R actions?

couldn’t watch, saw the highlights.

really need to start having serious conversations about Fox. Castle and Harper get a pass because they’re so young but Fox, again, seems to be lollygagging until it’s too late. not what he’s paid to do.
