Game Thread Spurs (27-11) @ Timberwolves (25-14) (Sun 1/11/26) [6PM CST]

Despite their struggles, the Spurs can wrap up a brutal stretch of 3 back2backs (four games on the road) in a span of 10 days with a 4-2 record.

He played 28 minutes last night, I'd just match Wemby's minutes with his, Kornet can match up with Gobert.
In previous years we didn't have a servicable backup and Wemby had to contain Gobert. I think Kornet can deal with him now.

Yea he's definitely played well against us recently. We give him lots of open looks from 3 and that's his game. He's averaging 17 PPG against us over the last 3 matchups. These were the last 2 times we played them.

It's been a crazy year and I don't think any of us really saw a 50+ win season in the cards.

Keep that in mind when the Spurs continue to shoot like shit tonight and fall into the early deficit. The team needs to grow into champions.

My bid was for a 50 win season, if Wemby was healthy. It turns out he's not been all that healthy and the team has played well even without him.

It would be funny if someone in the nba office reviewed the game and then put out a report that brown pushed off/offensive fouled on several plays they missed and stated, “brown should have fouled out” if refs had nailed every call…
 
Hope mitch uses the bench extensively tonite with an eye on the upcoming okc game …
Champagnie was huge last night and as most of this season has proved…there is always an unexpected player that shows up…

Play the bench, mitch, spread the minutes out…more olynck, waters, even DJG, …

Expecting barnes or harper or someone else to have another breakout game….

I am wishing for wins tonite and tuesday…but if i was forced to choose only 1…

It would be tuesday…fuck okc
 
However…if mitch gets too cute… he could lose two in a row…

Not an easy balance to manage tbf
 
Would be nice if ANT is out. Teams always seem to have their superstar or the superstar always comes back against the Spurs, would be nice if one is out for a change 😂

we need to compete with the Wolves at full strength ... they are one of the teams we have problems with and our team does not evolve when Ant is missing.
